{"id":102729,"date":"2022-01-03T09:07:27","date_gmt":"2022-01-03T13:07:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=102729"},"modified":"2022-01-03T09:07:27","modified_gmt":"2022-01-03T13:07:27","slug":"covid-lockdowns-democrat-governors-2022-midterms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=102729","title":{"rendered":"<h3><b>Covid Lockdowns, Democrat Governors &#038; 2022 Midterms<\/b><\/h3>"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span class=\"s2\"> Covid Lockdowns as a 2022 Issue<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><!--more-->by Renee Parsons<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">There is growing speculation that with two dozen Democratic Members of the House having already announced their \u2018retirement\u2019, that an undeniable opportunity exists for Republicans to seize control of both houses of Congress during the mid term 2022 elections.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It can be assumed that those Democratic incumbents, after having defended an illegitimate President and his morally bankrupt policies, fear they will bear the blame for their party\u2019s support of deplorable Covid lockdowns and their effort to destroy the American republic. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The painful truth is that the Democratic party controls almost every major social and cultural institution in the country; the mainstream and social media, every federal government agency of importance including intelligence, national security, health and the military apparatus; academic, religious and science foundations and the majority of opinion raconteurs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>What they do not control is the majority of the American people.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">If in fact the Dems are on the cusp of a major humongous loss of Congressional control even as they \u2018own\u2019 necessary electoral mechanics, why would they tolerate an election certain to strip Democratic incumbents from power? <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In at least the majority of blue states, a political coup has already destabilized a significant portion of the US as a constitutional republic. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">As control of Congress has dominated public discussion, what has not yet gained any real attention is whether blue Governors will suffer election losses in retribution for their excessive Covid lockdowns as Republicans may be expected to mount rigorous re-election challenges.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This scenario raises the question whether Republican candidates have the necessary mojo to square off against the Democrats, to call them out for their despotic policies and whether they are willing to challenge its own <a href=\"https:\/\/d.docs.live.net\/37d063c0b07240a9\/Documents\/Cuofco.org\"><span class=\"s3\">RINO<\/span><\/a> incumbents.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Since Covid was identified, the level of lockdown depended on how blue was the blue state with the assumption that blue Governors were assured of re-election no matter how diligently lockdown requirements were applied.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For example, will Democratic voters reward previously unelected and newly appointed NY Governor<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s3\"> Kathy Hochul\u2019s<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>destructive Covid <a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\/news\/governor-hochul-announces-winter-surge-plan-20\"><span class=\"s3\">escalations<\/span><\/a> just as California voters awarded Gov. Gavin Newsom for his extremism, despite his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/every-mayor-governor-caught-breaking-covid-restrictions-1552033\"><span class=\"s3\">lack of following<\/span><\/a> the rules?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">If this is a sign that Democratic Governors who often introduced harsh requirements that shut businesses and schools, are electorally safe, the only conclusion is that Democratic voters are easily snookered to obey tyrannical authority, and that they more easily accept repressive dictates from the very Governor they elected to represent them. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">As Covid took hold, it was the Constitutional purview of every State\u2019s Governor to implement their own enforcement of Covid requirements and to issue an Emergency Executive Order to initiate their state\u2019s response.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>At the time,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>the now discredited Drs. Anthony <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Real-Anthony-Fauci-Democracy-Childrens\/dp\/1510766804\"><span class=\"s3\">Fauci<\/span><\/a> and Deborah <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/i-just-cant-dr-deborah-birx-privately-blasted-the-trump-white-houses-covid-strategy-while-publicly-giving-it-cover-emails-show\/ar-AAS3IQW?fullscreen=true#image=2\"><span class=\"s3\">Birx<\/span><\/a><\/span><span class=\"s3\">,<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> coordinator of the Vice President\u2019s Covid Task Force,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>provided <a href=\"https:\/\/www.helleniscope.com\/2021\/11\/24\/atlas-i-watched-the-nations-top-scientists-lie-about-covid-and-get-away-with-it\/\"><span class=\"s3\">strategic<\/span><\/a> advice to each Governor that was in direct contradiction to President Trump\u2019s message of ending the lockdowns and to focus on high-risk Americans. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">On the other hand, many, but not all, Republican Governors remained more distrustful of government meddling in its private health decisions and dared to question CDC<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018science\u2019 as Dr. Scott Atlas who served as advisor to the President described in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Plague-Upon-Our-House-Destroying\/dp\/163758220X\"><span class=\"s3\">A Plague on Our House<\/span><\/a>. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Hence, some of the most callous Democratic states are experiencing a population exodus with the \u2018free\u2019 states of Florida, South Dakota and Texas accepting the influx.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">To date, <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Gubernatorial_elections,_2022\"><span class=\"s3\">thirty six<\/span><\/a> Governors will be on the 2022 ballot with twenty Republican Governors and sixteen Democratic Governors up for grabs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>While the final candidate alignment is still in formation, eight incumbents are bowing out with seven being term limited.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/seven-most-vulnerable-governors-facing-reelection-in-2022\/ar-AASliGb\"><span class=\"s3\">The Hill<\/span><\/a> has identified six incumbent Democrats and one Republican who are considered vulnerable:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Kansas, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin, New Mexico and Maine.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Across the map there are Republican primaries with multiple candidates vying in almost every race against a Democrat incumbent with the R\u2019s eager to challenge their record on mandatory lockdown requirements. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Of special interest will be replacements for Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and Massachusetts<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Governor Charles Baker both elected as Republicans in a Democratic state who both followed the Democratic playbook on Covid. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In addition, Democratic<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Governor of Colorado Jared Polis declared the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntd.com\/democrat-governor-declares-covid-19-emergency-over_713820.html?utm_source=newsletter&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=2021-10-20\"><span class=\"s3\">Covid emergency<\/span><\/a> over as at least three lockdown opponents filed as candidates in the Republican primary.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The question on election day will be whether those Democratic Governors will be held responsible for adopting more harsh measures on the population than necessary or whether those Democratic voters, many of whom are now better informed than they were, will take the opportunity to hold one of their own accountable. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">If, in fact, the Dems are doomed to lose their collective shirts in 2022 by impressive margins, it is difficult to see how the party of Jefferson will not, based on their recent confrontational behavior, initiate some sort of full-blown crisis to deter the mid-term elections, to disrupt any attempt to restore the country to its previous constitutional foundation.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Would it be outside the realm of possibility to expect Democrat\/Marxists, having lost their once glowing halo with its bold attack to shanghai the country\u2019s 2020 electoral process continue their radical divisive campaign to do whatever is<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>necessary in the interests of self preservation of their power base.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Will any state (besides New York) dare to deny an unvaccinated citizen their constitutional right to vote? <span
