Biden Says Graham Will \u2018Regret His Whole Life\u2019 After Judiciary Chair Requests Documents Related to Bidens<\/h1>\n

Former Vice President\u00a0Joe Biden<\/a>\u00a0claimed that Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) would \u201cregret his whole life\u201d after Graham asked for documents related to Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and\u00a0Ukraine<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cLindsey, I just\u2014I\u2019m just embarrassed by what you\u2019re doing, for you. I mean, my Lord,\u201d Biden, a Democratic presidential candidate,\u00a0told CNN<\/a>\u00a0when asked what he\u2019d say to Graham.<\/p>\n \u201cLindsey is about to go down in a way that I think he\u2019s going to regret his whole life,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cI am disappointed, and quite frankly I\u2019m angered, by the fact\u2014he knows me; he knows my son; he knows there\u2019s nothing to this. Trump is now essentially holding power over him that even the Ukrainians wouldn\u2019t yield to. The Ukrainians would not yield to, quote, \u2018investigate Biden\u2019\u2014there\u2019s nothing to investigate about Biden or his son.\u201d<\/p>\n Biden is a longtime frontrunner in the 2020 field, but has been dogged by his family\u2019s dealings with Ukraine and China. Hunter Biden was involved in companies in both countries while his father was in office, leading to conflict of interest concerns that have cropped up during the open impeachment hearings.<\/p>\n Biden fueled the accusations when he bragged\u00a0last year<\/a> that he threatened in 2016 to withhold $1 billion from Ukraine unless then-President Petro Poroshenko ousted Viktor Shokin, a prosecutor who was probing Hunter Biden\u2019s employer Burisma.<\/p>\n \u201cI said, you\u2019re not getting the billion. I\u2019m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: I\u2019m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you\u2019re not getting the money. Well, son of a [expletive]. He got fired,\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n Shokin\u00a0has sworn<\/a>\u00a0that Biden\u2019s pressure led to his ouster and told the State Department\u00a0in January<\/a>\u00a0that \u201che was removed at the request of Mr. Joseph Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin holds a press conference in Kiev on Nov. 2, 2015. (Genya Savilov\/AFP\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n The Bidens have denied wrongdoing and are among those alleging Shokin was corrupt.<\/p>\n President Donald Trump\u00a0in July<\/a> asked newly elected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who campaigned on reforming the country, to \u201clook into\u201d what happened with the Bidens in the country. The call triggered the impeachment inquiry.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of talk about Biden\u2019s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do \u2026. would be great,\u201d Trump said. \u201cBiden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it\u2026 It sounds horrible to me.\u201d<\/p>\n Zelensky\u2019s new top prosecutor was reviewing the Burisma case, which was closed by Shokin\u2019s replacement, and\u00a0announced this week<\/a>\u00a0that Burisma\u2019s founder is suspected of embezzling government funds.<\/p>\n Graham, the senator Biden attacked,\u00a0sent a letter<\/a>\u00a0on Nov. 21 asking the State Department to release call transcripts or summaries and other documents between Biden and Poroshenko leading up to the firing of Shokin.<\/p>\n The documents would \u201cassist in answering questions regarding allegations that Vice President Biden played a role in the termination of Prosecutor General [Viktor] Shokin in an effort to end the investigation of the company employing his son,\u201d Graham wrote.<\/p>\n Two other senators\u00a0requested on Thursday<\/a>\u00a0records of White House meetings in 2016 between Obama administration officials, Ukrainian government representatives, and Democratic National Committee officials.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2019\/10\/03\/Viktor-Shokin-Ukraine-1200x963.jpg\")
