COVID-19 RED-PILLED<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Once again I depart from the book I\u2019m writing on 9\/11 due to a matter of greater urgency\u2014the global response to COVID-19. Let me say at the outset that no one has all the answers on COVID-19, but we should have the will to look for them.I have been a journalist for 35 years (starting in 1985 as a writer for\u00a0The New American) and a registered nurse for 45 years (retired last year).<\/p>\n

Neither of these backgrounds qualifies me as an \u201cexpert\u201d on COVID-19; however, it does give me some perspective, both on the geopolitical forces controlling world events, as well as common-sense training and experience in infection control. By the way, Bill Gates is not a medical professional, yet that hasn\u2019t stopped him from advising the world on how to respond to COVID-19 in mainstream media.On a personal level, I immediately knew the quarantining of perfectly healthy people did not accord with decades of infection control practices. In infectious diseases, you isolate the sick, not the healthy. To quarantine the healthy as \u201cpresumed sick\u201d is the medical equivalent of violating the law of jurisprudence that a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.<\/p>\n

However, since COVID-19 is said to be different, and as those who challenge the government\/mainstream media response to COVID-19 have been targeted for censorship, this post will quote scholars and experts whose credentials are beyond dispute.<\/p>\n

I apologize for the post\u2019s length, but I wanted to aim for comprehensiveness. Perhaps the lockdown will give more people enough time to read it. I have broken the COVID-19 crisis into four major sections:<\/p>\n

(1) The Lockdown\u2019s Human Impact (I wanted to address this first because it is the least hypothetical of the issues)
\n(2) The Methodology of Panic
\n(3) Theories about the Nature of COVID-19
\n(4) The Deep State\u2019s End-Game<\/p>\n

HUMAN IMPACT OF THE LOCKDOWN<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The Economic and Health<\/strong>\u00a0Impact<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Even before the lockdown began, a\u00a0survey<\/a>\u00a0showed that 49 percent of Americans were living paycheck to paycheck. As of the week ending April 11,\u00a022 million Americans<\/a>\u00a0had filed for unemployment in four weeks. (Of course, these statistics, like many I cite, will continue to change after this post\u2019s publication.)<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s consider the implications. People without a job eventually lose their health insurance. Without an income, many will find it impossible to pay mortgages, real estate taxes or (alternatively) pay rent. The $1200 government stimulus checks will help little in this regard. In March 2020 the average monthly rent for a one-room bedroom apartment in Boston\u00a0was $2,683<\/a>, meaning the bailout would cover rent for about 2 weeks. Of course, it\u2019s not just mortgages and rent, it\u2019s utilities, groceries, and other necessities.<\/p>\n

According to a recent study by\u00a0The Ascent<\/em>,\u00a052 percent of Americans<\/a>\u00a0are maxed out on their credit cards, meaning they cannot even resort to credit to buy essentials.\u00a0Breadlines<\/a>\u00a0have begun forming in America, which increasingly resembles the old Soviet Union. Meanwhile farmers who supply restaurants, schools and theme parks have been forced to\u00a0throw away<\/a>\u00a0thousands of acres of rotting crops.<\/p>\n

According to the American Psychological Association\u2014before the lockdown\u2014the\u00a0number one cause of stress<\/a>\u00a0in America was money problems. Imagine how much the lockdown is amplifying that. And as the quarantine forces distressed people to stay together constantly, domestic abuse cases have spiked. The\u00a0New York Times<\/em>\u00a0reported on April 6:<\/p>\n

In Spain, the emergency number for domestic violence received 18 percent more calls in the first two weeks of lockdown than in the same period a month earlier. . . .<\/em><\/p>\n

On Thursday, the French police reported a nationwide spike of about 30 percent in domestic violence.1<\/sup>\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Calls to suicide hotlines\u00a0are spiking<\/a>. With jobs demolished, crime can also be expected to soar.<\/p>\n

The lockdown\u2019s justification is to \u201cprotect our heath.\u201d But if masses of people lose their health insurance and homes\u2014becoming homeless\u2014will the impact of that be less than COVID-19, a disease which lasts on average two weeks and that, for most people, resembles a mild to moderate case of the flu (we will amplify on this later)?<\/p>\n

Sure, Uncle Sam can financially \u201ccome to the rescue.\u201d But the U.S. government is\u2014officially\u2014over $23 trillion in debt. There is no treasure in the Treasury, no \u201creserves\u201d to hand out. Anything the government gives the people it must\u00a0take\u00a0<\/em>from the people\u2014either by (1) raising taxes (obviously now impossible) or (2) its favored method: borrowing money from the Federal Reserve, which increases the nation\u2019s debt burden and, by expanding the money supply, devalues the dollar, making prices rise.<\/p>\n

As The Mises Institute\u2019s editors write:<\/p>\n

The shutdown of the American economy by government decree should end. The lasting and far-reaching harms caused by this authoritarian precedent far outweigh those caused by the COVID-19 virus. The American people\u2014individuals, families, businesses\u2014must decide for themselves how and when to reopen society and return to their daily lives.<\/em><\/p>\n

Neither the Trump administration nor Congress has the legal authority to shut down American life absent at least baseline due process. As Judge Andrew Napolitano recently wrote, business closures, restrictions on assembly and movement, and quarantines are not constitutionally permissible under some magic \u201cemergency\u201d doctrine. At a minimum, the federal government must show potential imminent harm by specific infected individuals at some form of hearing or trial.<\/em><\/p>\n

These due process requirements are not suspended.2<\/sup><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That brings us to the next human implication of the lockdown:<\/p>\n

Destruction of Civil Liberties<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Benjamin Franklin said, \u201cThose who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thanks to the \u201cControlavirus,\u201d martial law has overtaken the planet, curtailing freedom, virtually empowering governments to the point of totalitarianism. Here in America, planks in the Bill of Rights are being shredded. While these prohibitions on rights may not be permanent, they nevertheless represent an unprecedented flirtation with dictatorship.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Freedom of worship: Religious services are forbidden. Gatherings for worship, corporate prayer and religious studies have been curtailed, except for online substitutes such as livestreams and Zoom meetings. This appears to be the first time that Easter services have been globally cancelled since Constantine legalized Christianity in the fourth century AD.<\/p>\n

On April 10, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced\u00a0plans<\/a>\u00a0to record the license plate numbers of Easter churchgoers and force them into self-quarantine for 14 Days. Fortunately, a judge overturned the edict.<\/p>\n

Less fortunate was Greenville, Mississippi, where police cars descended on King James Bible Baptist Church for scheduling a \u201cdrive-up church service.\u201d See the\u00a0video<\/a>\u00a0by Pastor Charles E. Hamilton, Jr.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The right to peaceably assemble: A number of states have restricted gatherings to ten persons, and have \u201cstay at home\u201d requirements or advisories in effect for \u201cnon-essential travel.\u201d In a worst-case scenario, Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer issued\u00a0orders<\/a>\u00a0forbidding anyone from even visiting a friend or family member unless they were a caregiver. Whitmer began taking a softer tone after a massive citizen protest erupted on April 15th.<\/p>\n

\u2022 \u201cThe right to a speedy and public trial,\u201d\u00a0and trial by jury is encoded in the Bill of Rights. Jury trials across the nation have been cancelled or postponed\u2014again, the suspensions are temporary, but how close are we to acclimating people to eliminating them altogether?<\/p>\n

Here are examples of egregious rights violations across the nation:<\/p>\n

\u2022 A Colorado man was\u00a0arrested and handcuffed<\/a>\u00a0in front of his six-year-old daughter for playing softball with her, which allegedly violated \u201csocial distancing\u201d requirements. Noteworthily, the police themselves were not wearing masks and violated social distancing in making the arrest.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Residents of Cameron County, Texas,\u00a0can face a $1,000 fine<\/a>\u00a0for not wearing \u201csome form of covering over their nose and mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2022 In Sedgwick County, Kansas\u2014emulating the old Soviet Union\u2014citizens are\u00a0encouraged to use<\/a>\u00a0online forms to \u201csnitch\u201d on neighbors who may be violating \u201cstay-at-home\u201d mandates or operating \u201cnon-essential businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2022 Indiana\u2019s Howard County has\u00a0ordered businesses<\/a>\u00a0to stop selling \u201cnon-essential\u201d goods, including\u00a0books<\/em>. So book-burning is now part of the \u201cmedical martial law\u201d paradigm.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Google is\u00a0reporting<\/a>\u00a0people\u2019s movements to the government to track whether \u201csocial distancing\u201d and limits on social gatherings are obeyed. Meanwhile, the White House has\u00a0held a teleconference<\/a>\u00a0with execs from Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Twitter to \u201chelp battle coronavirus,\u201d including \u201cdiscussion about how to stop the\u00a0spread of coronavirus conspiracy theories<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Overseas, the situation is often worse.<\/p>\n

\u2022 In Singapore, sitting or standing too near another person\u00a0is punishable<\/a>\u00a0by prison terms of up to 6 months and fines of up to $7,000.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0 In Tunisia,\u00a0remotely controlled \u201crobocops\u201d<\/a>\u00a0enforce lockdown rules and demand to see people\u2019s travel permits.<\/p>\n

\u2022 In Greece, Orthodox Bishop Seraphim Stergiulis\u00a0was arrested<\/a>\u00a0for keeping his church open for worship.<\/p>\n

\u2022 In Britain,\u00a0police have set up<\/a>\u00a0online forms so people can \u201csnitch\u201d on neighbors who violate lockdown orders.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Paris has\u00a0banned<\/a>\u00a0outdoor exercise during daytime hours.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Danish Parliament has passed a\u00a0draconian law\u00a0<\/a>authorizing the government to test, quarantine and vaccinate citizens without their consent.<\/p>\n

Is the Lockdown Necessary? Experts Speak Out<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Using quotes and video clips, let\u2019s now give voice to some of the eminent medical scholars who oppose the lockdown. I know many of my readers have limited time, so I\u2019ll only embed videos that are short.<\/p>\n

First, the eminent German infectious disease specialist\u00a0Sucharit Bhakdi<\/a>\u00a0comments on the outbreak\u2014in which deaths from preexisting disease are being misattributed to COVID-19\u2014and why the response\u2014which he calls \u201cabsurd, grotesque, and dangerous\u201d\u2014will be far more destructive than the illness. He says: \u201cAll these measures are leading to self-destruction and collective suicide because of nothing but a spook.\u201d<\/p>\n
