Kennedy, Jr.<br \/>\nChildren&#8217;s Health Defense<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-image-large to-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566166\/full\/influenza_vaccine.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"ibox&amp;ignore_target=true noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click to enlarge\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566166\/large\/influenza_vaccine.jpg\" alt=\"influenza vaccine flu shot\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>On March 12<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta held a global town hall on &#8220;Corona Facts and Fears.&#8221; During the discussion, Anderson said to the viewing audience, &#8220;And, again, if you are concerned about coronavirus, and you haven&#8217;t gotten a flu shot&#8230;you should get a flu shot.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Setting safety and efficacy of influenza vaccination aside, is Anderson&#8217;s claim that the flu shot will help people fight COVID-19 remotely true? The short answer is no.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In fact, the results of many peer-reviewed, published studies prove that Anderson&#8217;s recommendation may have been the worst advice he could have given the public.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In searching the literature, the only study we have been able to find assessing flu shots and coronavirus is a\u00a0<\/strong><a title=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0264410X19313647?via%3Dihub\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0264410X19313647?via%3Dihub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>2020 US Pentagon study<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0that found that the flu shot INCREASES the risks from coronavirus by 36%. &#8220;Receiving influenza vaccination may increase the risk of other respiratory viruses, a phenomenon known as &#8220;virus interference&#8230;&#8217;vaccine derived&#8217; virus interference was significantly associated with coronavirus&#8230;&#8221; Here are the findings:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"BoldGrey\">2020 Pentagon study: Flu vaccines increase risk of coronavirus by 36%<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Examining non-influenza viruses specifically, the odds of coronavirus in vaccinated individuals were significantly higher when compared to unvaccinated individuals with an odds ratio (association between an exposure and an outcome) of 1.36. In other words, the vaccinated were 36% more likely to get coronavirus.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-image-large to-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566152\/full\/pentagon_study.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"ibox&amp;ignore_target=true noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click to enlarge\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566152\/large\/pentagon_study.jpg\" alt=\"pentagon study\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"article-image-large to-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566155\/full\/2020_Pentagon_Study.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"ibox&amp;ignore_target=true noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click to enlarge\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566155\/large\/2020_Pentagon_Study.jpg\" alt=\"2020 pentagon study\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><strong>Many other studies suggest the increased risk of viral respiratory infections from the flu shot:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"BoldGrey\">2018 CDC Study: Flu shots increase risk of non-flu acute respiratory illnesses (ARI) in children.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rifkin-2018-5-ARI-after-flu-vaccine-in-children.-Vaccine-2018.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Rifkin-2018-5-ARI-after-flu-vaccine-in-children.-Vaccine-2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CDC supported study<\/a>\u00a0concluded an increased risk of acute respiratory illness (ARI) among children &lt;18 years caused by non-influenza respiratory pathogens post-influenza vaccination compared to unvaccinated children during the same period.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-image-large to-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566156\/full\/influenza_vacc_respiratory.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"ibox&amp;ignore_target=true noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click to enlarge\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566156\/large\/influenza_vacc_respiratory.jpg\" alt=\"flu shot respiratory illness\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"article-image-large to-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566157\/full\/flu_shot_repiratory_illness.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"ibox&amp;ignore_target=true noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click to enlarge\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566157\/large\/flu_shot_repiratory_illness.jpg\" alt=\"flu shot respiratory illness\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><strong><span class=\"BoldGrey\">2011 Australian Study: Flu shot doubled risk of non-influenza viral infections and increased flu risk by 73%<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A prospective case-control study in healthy young Australian children found that seasonal flu shots doubled their risk of illness from non-influenza virus infections. (ILI)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-image-large to-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566164\/full\/vaccine_causes_infection.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"ibox&amp;ignore_target=true noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click to enlarge\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566164\/large\/vaccine_causes_infection.jpg\" alt=\"flu vaccine increase non-flu illness\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"article-image-large to-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566165\/full\/Epidemiology_of_respiratory_vi.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"ibox&amp;ignore_target=true noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click to enlarge\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sott.net\/image\/s28\/566165\/large\/Epidemiology_of_respiratory_vi.jpg\" alt=\"respiratory infection from flu shot\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><strong><span class=\"BoldGrey\">Even more published science<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The well-respected Cochrane Collaboration&#8217;s comprehensive 2010 meta-analysis of published influenza vaccine studies found that the influenza vaccination has\u00a0<\/strong><em><strong>&#8220;no effect&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a0on hospitalization, and that there is\u00a0<\/strong><em><strong>&#8220;no evidence that vaccines prevent viral transmission or complications.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><a title=\"https:\/\/www.cochranelibrary.com\/cdsr\/doi\/10.1002\/14651858.CD001269.pub4\/full\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cochranelibrary.com\/cdsr\/doi\/10.1002\/14651858.CD001269.pub4\/full\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>The Cochrane Researchers concluded<\/strong><\/a><em><strong>\u00a0that the scientific evidence &#8220;seem[s] to discourage the utilization of vaccination against influenza in healthy adults as a routine public health measure.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>In their meta-analysis, the Cochrane researchers accused the CDC\u00a0<\/strong><em><strong>of deliberately misrepresenting the science in order to support their universal influenza vaccination recommendation<\/strong><\/em><strong>.
