What else would adequately explain the recent royal drama surrounding the engagement of Prince Harry to American actress Meghan Markle? Even her Toronto-based TV hit series reflects a woman deeply immersed in “palace intrigues”. So she’s quite adept at playing the part.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This whirlwind Toronto romance can only be explained by something rather extraordinary going on in the affairs of the British royal family. And so there is!<\/p>\n

Clearly, there is no better way to keep Prince Harry from ascending to the throne than to duplicate the King Edward VIII-Wallis Simpson fiasco of 1936 here in 2017, without an abdication of course. Being twice divorced did not help endear the king’s fianc\u00e9e Simpson to the British people. The English, especially, still remember that pre-WWII, Anglo-American love match that succeeded in ultimately triggering King Edward’s ignominious abdication.<\/p>\n

Quite tellingly, those who engineered the new court intrigue this year even made sure that Markle would have one divorce under her belt. Hence, it really does appear that Meghan Markle is set to be an American insurance policy against another royal debacle. After all, there are as many Brits who really believe that Prince Harry is the son of Captain James Hewitt as there are Americans who swear that Chelsea Clinton is the daughter of Hillary’s friend and partner Webster Hubbell.<\/p>\n

Clearly, only those with Windsor blood will be considered worthy successors to the British throne. <\/strong> And there’s even a play out there that talks openly about this royal conspiracy.<\/p>\n

New play suggests that Prince Harry was fathered by James Hewitt<\/h2>\n

A new west end production about Diana will suggest that James Hewitt<\/strong> is the father of Prince Harry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Telegraph<\/a> reports: A controversial new play about Princess Diana<\/strong> will reignite rumours that Prince Charles is not Prince Harry\u2019s father.<\/p>\n

The West End production \u2013 Truth, Lies, Diana<\/strong> \u2013 will suggest that former Household Cavalry officer James Hewitt fathered the third in line to the throne during his affair with Princess Diana.<\/p>\n

Writer Jon Conway claims Hewitt personally admitted his relationship with Diana started 18 months before Harry was born, and backed the play by allowing the revelation to be used.<\/p>\n

The explosive scene sees Hewitt tell a journalist: \u201cDiana and I started our relationship more than a year before Harry was born.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that doesn\u2019t prove that I am his father. It\u2019s just the inconvenient truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

The subject is raised again when Hewitt\u2019s character is asked if he knows who Harry\u2019s dad is, replying: \u201cOf course I do\u201d.<\/p>\n

The play, which has already had a successful stint in New York, is due to open at the Charing Cross Theatre in London\u2019s West End on January 9 and play until mid-February.<\/p>\n

Mr Conway said he had spent two years interviewing Hewitt, 56, and had elicited some \u201cremarkable\u201d admissions during their conversations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a startling revelation that James Hewitt makes and he has allowed me to make it in the play\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the fact that his relationship with Diana started 18 months before Prince Harry was born.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rumour, which has dogged the Royal Family for years, first emerged in the mid-1990s when Diana\u2019s affair with Hewitt became public knowledge for the first time.<\/p>\n

Royal commentators have repeatedly rebuffed the claim, saying the affair did not start until 1986, two years after Prince Harry was born, and the claims drove Diana \u201cwild with fury\u201d.<\/p>\n

Penny Junor, the author of a new biography of Harry, says Hewitt was not on the scene in 1984, and points to a negative DNA test conducted by the News of the World in 2003 on a strand of Harry\u2019s ginger hair.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Harry had been shown to be James Hewitt\u2019s son, you can be sure we\u2019d have known\u201d, she said.<\/p>\n

Neville Thurlbeck, the News of the World\u2019s former chief reporter, dismissed it as a \u201cconspiracy theory\u201d that had been \u201ckilled by Fleet Street years ago\u201d.<\/p>\n

The play follows an investigator as he tries to uncover the truth behind Princess Diana\u2019s death in a Paris car crash with then-lover Dodi Fayed in 1997.<\/p>\n

Mr Conway based his script on a series of books by investigative journalist John Morgan, and drew on interviews with Hewitt and Diana\u2019s former butler, Paul Burrell, as well as transcripts of the inquest into her death.<\/p>\n

He said audience members will be able to decide themselves whether Hewitt\u2019s revelation is true, and whether they believe his public denials about fathering Harry.<\/p>\n

Hewitt confirmed he had been interviewed for the play and that he believed it was \u201caccurate\u201d, but denied having read the actual script.<\/p>\n
