Russia has targeted the headquarters of the Ukrainian military\u2019s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) in Kiev, President Vladimir Putin confirmed on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been talking about the possibility of striking the \u2018decision-making centers.\u2019 Naturally, Ukraine\u2019s military intelligence headquarters falls into such a category, and it was hit two or three days ago,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Putin stated.<\/p>\n

The Russian\u00a0president also acknowledged a Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow, which occurred earlier in the day. The main goal of such strikes is attempting to\u00a0\u201cintimidate\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Russian citizens, which is a\u00a0\u201cclear sign\u201d<\/em>\u00a0of\u00a0\u201cterrorist activity\u201d<\/em>\u00a0on Kiev\u2019s part,\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n

Unlike Ukraine, which has been targeting\u00a0\u201cresidential buildings\u201d<\/em>\u00a0in Russia, Moscow is striking only military targets, such as ammunition dumps or fuel depots, with\u00a0\u201chigh-precision\u201d<\/em>\u00a0weaponry, he added.<\/p>\n

Moscow\u2019s anti-aircraft defense fared\u00a0\u201cokay\u201d<\/em>\u00a0in repelling the latest attack, Putin noted, admitting that there still was room for improvement.<\/p>\n

Kiev\u2019s ultimate goal of indiscriminately striking Moscow and other Russian cities is provoking a\u00a0\u201cmirror response\u201d<\/em>\u00a0from Russia,\u00a0the president stated.<\/p>\n
