Gal Luft Wikipedia, Bio, Chaina, Daily, Missing -:<\/strong>\u00a0The US government has issued a warrant for missing Israeli academic Gal Luft, who disappeared on Tuesday, April 25. The Jerusalem Post reports that Luft was detained at Cyprus\u2019 Larnaca International Airport after being accused of smuggling weapons into China and Libya.<\/p>\n

He was due to be extradited to the US, but after a court in Larnaca granted him bail, he vanished.<\/p>\n

On March 28, Gal Luft\u2019s formal warrant was issued when he failed to show up at a Paphos police station. Later, he denied being an arms dealer in a tweet, saying the accusations were false and part of a plot by the US government. He continued by saying that he is a target because of his criticism of US foreign policy.<\/p>\n

In 2011, Gal Luft held the position of Senior Advisor at the US Energy Security Council<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Before the alleged arms deals, Gal Luft was a co-director of the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, according to his LinkedIn profile. John Hopkins University in Maryland awarded him a Ph.D. in philosophy, and in 2011 he eventually became a Senior Advisor at the US Energy Security Council.<\/p>\n

In addition, he held the positions of Chairman of International Privacy Machines and Adjunct Professor at OSTIM in Turkey.<\/p>\n

Gal Luft, according to Ynet News, was particularly critical of the Biden administration, charging that the President and his cabinet members were acting in their own self-interests and in an undemocratic manner. He belonged to a think tank with various officials and former US agents, according to Intelligence Online.<\/p>\n

The Biden administration is pursuing the accused arms dealer because he allegedly offered damaging evidence against Hunter Biden in a corruption case, according to Gal Luft\u2019s lawyer, Mordechai Tzivin. According to reports, the latter is being looked at for possible tax fraud. Since 2018, the case has been ongoing. Tzivin continued<\/p>\n

Tzivin continued, \u201cI\u2019m also worried about the attempted extradition because I don\u2019t believe the US government will keep Luft safe.\u201d He asserted that he might be in danger of getting hurt because it is rumored that the President is seeking Luft.<\/p>\n
