No Speaker: House Caucus in Conundrum<\/h2>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->Renee Parsons<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Despite premature news that Majority Leader Steve Scalise had been elected Speaker in what was really a \u2018straw vote,\u2019 the House caucus has been meeting to consider a replacement behind closed doors which is obviously meant to exclude the public as elected Representatives<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201clet it all hang out\u2019 in private.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The caucus has not only been discussing a new Speaker but other relevant issues like funding Ukraine and what extent should the US or<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Caucus support the Israel war. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">That conflict is now threatening to spread beyond Israel borders as the US military is on the move without any Congressional War Powers resolution which would require a vote. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It should come as no surprise that the Uniparty wing of the Caucus prefers discussion to be privy so that the public remains uncertain as to how each elected Representative (especially Red State) is voting .<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nevertheless, it is curious that with 221 Republican members of the House caucus, only two Members have stepped up to announce their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/jim-jordan-steve-scalise-rack-up-endorsements-ahead-of-speaker-election\/ar-AA1hWiO2\"><span class=\"s2\">candidacy<\/span><\/a>, both arising from the high profile professional class as a path to advancement and yet neither as an inspiring example to the voting base. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Identified as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/us-house-republicans-seek-to-unite-around-a-new-speaker\/ar-AA1i2eRo?ocid=winp1taskbar&amp;cvid=9e13b894fbf54e4086b80296eb2a78f4&amp;ei=14\"><span class=\"s2\">\u2018leadership<\/span><\/a>,\u2019 tacit or otherwise, claim the inside track, as if having paid their dues is sufficient qualification; therefore deserving a promotion to guide the country through its most severe tribulations than ever experienced..<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As no other candidates are currently in the queue to take the Republican reins, shall the public assume that Republican resources are so narrow, so lacking in leadership potential with a dearth of independent thinkers; that Republican House members still defer to the Uniparty\u2019s botched agenda as it drags the country deeper into the fiscal quagmire and into another disastrous proxy foreign war \u2013 to end all war. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It would be ideal for an individual who fully understands the depth of the economic crisis, not as an ideological political battle in which to score points but as a devastating insurmountable fiscal catastrophe awaits, after decades of exceedingly bad judgment that has led to a massive destabilization of the country\u2019s economic health from which there will be no \u2018quick fix\u2019.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With a $33 Trillion debt, an accompanying trillion dollar interest payment and another trillion dollar shortfall, it is no secret that whoever controls the money, controls government policy, controls the vote, the administrative state and foreign policy choices.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It is clear from the earlier debt ceiling kerfuffle followed by dismissal of the agreed-upon single-subject consideration of appropriation bills, that McCarthy was not with the program of fiscal sanity.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Such necessary rectification was far beyond McCarthy to plot a clear decisive path to economic resuscitation as the viability of US liabilities and assets remains questionable including the dilemma of who will alert its recipients that the country\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=Sen.%2520Rand%2520Paul&amp;src=typed_query\"><span class=\"s2\">cherished social programs<\/span><\/a> are no longer sustainable.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It is against this unholy background that unchecked Federal fiscal extravagance with Billions allocated to unrestrained military expeditions and covert black ops has been allowed to transmogrify into an unconscionable, unsustainable computation that defies logic, reason or oversight as the majority of the Republican caucus appear immune to a looming catastrophe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It may be that since post-Fed Bank creation in 1913, the country has historically been governed by a subspecies of archaic humans elected to Congress who performed as wasteful, fiscal illiterates with little regard for balancing the books, always putting off today what can wait until tomorrow; but tomorrow never arrived &#8211; until today. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With a November 17 deadline by which remaining appropriation bills need to be finalized, the predisposed media pushes the narrative that there is \u2018chaos\u2019 in the House unless a new Speaker is identified asap, with added<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>chaos as the US inserts itself into a war raging in the Middle East without reasonable contemplation.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It remains unconvincing that McCarthy\u2019s long devotion to Israel enables him to be the sole advocate to oversee his five point plan which reads like an unabashed plan for US involvement in another forever war, if not a conflict fated to escalate into WW III.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It is curious that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/interim-house-speaker-says-israel-aid-could-be-approved-before-replacement-if-we-need\/ar-AA1hZWCh?ocid=msedgdhp&amp;pc=U531&amp;cvid=158100788a8f473694de017d7564e4a0&amp;ei=19\"><span class=\"s2\">war mongering<\/span><\/a> Republican Members of Congress predominately from Red States, rush like lemmings to the sea seemingly in expectation of a well-earned bonus while interim Speaker McHenry has suggested <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/interim-house-speaker-says-israel-aid-could-be-approved-before-replacement-if-we-need\/ar-AA1hZWCh?ocid=msedgdhp&amp;pc=U531&amp;cvid=158100788a8f473694de017d7564e4a0&amp;ei=19\"><span class=\"s2\">Israel aid could be approved<\/span><\/a> by an automaton House before a Speaker is appointed and before Constitutional requirements are met. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Infowars journalist Owen Stroyer\u2019s spectacular interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/law.illinois.edu\/faculty-research\/faculty-profiles\/francis-boyle\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Dr. Francis Boyle<\/span><\/a> (48.09) on the <a href=\"https:\/\/gettr.com\/streaming\/p2s9gio61c7\"><span class=\"s2\">Hamas-Israel war<\/span><\/a> is worth the time even as Secretary of Defense Austin has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/news\/pentagon-congress\/2023\/10\/08\/us-military-to-move-a-carrier-strike-group-in-support-of-israel\/\"><span class=\"s2\">ordered<\/span><\/a> the USS Gerald Ford Carrier Strike group to the Mediterranean and <a href=\"https:\/\/themessenger.com\/news\/us-sends-special-operations-israel-hostage-rescue\"><span class=\"s2\">Special Forces rescue team<\/span><\/a> without a Congressional War Powers resolution. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As the long standing Hamas-Israel conflict rears its ugly head, McCarthy attempted to step back in to fill the void once again with a <a href=\"https:\/\/bnn.network\/watch-now\/former-speaker-mccarthy-proposes-5-point-plan-amid-israel-crisis-ready-to-reclaim-speakership\/\"><span class=\"s2\">five point plan<\/span><\/a>, to assume national leadership where he failed to provide national leadership the first time around.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>As the usual Uniparty suspects band together in panic of losing their seat on the gravy train, whose first priority is to keep their coffers filled, there exists a few quiet holdouts who backed off in deference to the \u2018leadership\u2019 class which lined up prematurely to stake their claim.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">***<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The first candidate to announce was House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan who became a front runner with former President Trump\u2019s endorsement, bringing considerable House support but not enough to take the prize.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In the past, Trump who has a reputation for poor personnel choices, has also endorsed Kevin McCarthy for Speaker.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Known as a McCarthy acolyte, Jordan\u2019s leadership at Judiciary has been more modest than assertive leaving the America First crowd less than enthused.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Given Jordan\u2019s support for McCarthy\u2019s candidacy in January as well as the Biden-McCarty debt ceiling in April and the more recent McCarthy-Biden Continuing Resolution, there is an outstanding question whether Jordan has the tenacity to dig deep to fulfill the Speaker\u2019s historic Constitutional role as third in line for the Presidency.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While Judiciary has conducted a full schedule of hearings, yet frequently inconclusive with little public satisfaction as subpoenas have yet to morph into criminal complaints against an openly brazen and weaponized FBI and DoJ for assorted illicit violations. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Outstanding is Jordan\u2019s correspondence related to Secretary of State Antony Blinken role initiating the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=00000175-4393-d7aa-af77-579f9b330000\"><span class=\"s2\">intel memo<\/span><\/a> scamming Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop as <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/04\/20\/biden-campaign-pushed-spies-to-write-false-hunter-laptop-letter\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Russian disinformation<\/span><\/a> or Facebook Founder Mark <a href=\"https:\/\/breakingdigest.com\/judiciary-chair-jim-jordan-demands-mark-zuckerberg-hand-over-documents-on-governments-role-in-censorship-on-new-platform-threads\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Zuckerberg\u2019s role<\/span><\/a> in fraudulent social media 2020 electioneering as well as a subpoeena <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jim_Jordan\/status\/1699184978242797576\"><span class=\"s2\">follow up<\/span><\/a> on the <a href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealthdefense.org\/defender\/disinformation-dozen-funding-ties-hollywood-corporate-dems\/?utm_id=20231003\"><span class=\"s2\">Center for Countering Digital Hate\u2019s<\/span><\/a> (CCDH) dark money disinformation and its role in the 2020 election.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Majority Leader Steve Scalise (La) who is popular and respected within the caucus wrote a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/675476546\/Letter-From-Steve-Scalise-Announcing-a-Run-for-Speaker-of-the-House#from_embed\"><span class=\"s2\">well-drafted letter<\/span><\/a> seeking support to be Speaker although he failed any mention of the $33 Billion debt and its implications, no mention on foreign policy which is now a huge issue and especially failed to add his thoughts on the Ukraine war.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Are we to assume that Scalise will fall in line with every other RINO member of the House and has no problem authorizing another $100 Billion to Ukraine, on top of the generous $115 B already provided by the American taxpayer and will follow the Uniparty agenda wherever that may lead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> ***<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A good question might be how a new Speaker will work to improve House performance with a 15% approval rating which means reaching beyond the usual establishment Republican status quo. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It may be that the on going candidate search comes down to the caucus sharpening its own leadership and accept the need to expand consideration, to create space for other Speaker candidates to step forward and give it a Go, to be vetted, to show their mojo, their quality and their plans that might surprise and even be worthy of support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><span
