Twenty-five Jewish lawmakers signed a letter Friday calling for the White House to oust senior White House adviser Stephen Miller, citing what they called his white supremacist and anti-immigrant rhetoric and policies, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported.<\/p>\n
In a\u00a0letter<\/a>\u00a0sent to President Donald Trump, the Congress members focused on Miller\u2019s hardline views on immigration and referenced\u00a0recently leaked\u00a0emails<\/a> in which he promoted white national material to Breitbart.<\/p>\n \u201cWith America experiencing historic levels of anti-Semitism, xenophobia, racism, and white supremacy, there should be no place in our government and on any President\u2019s staff for people propagating such views,\u201d the letter says.<\/p>\n In the emails, published by the Southern Poverty Law Center, Miller sent a Breitbart reporter links to VDare, a news website popular with white nationalists, and recommended that she read \u201cThe Camp of the Saints,<\/i>\u201d\u00a0<\/i>a racist French novel by Jean Raspail from the 1970s that has become an ideological foundation document for white nationalists.<\/p>\n He also railed against the removal of Confederate monuments and flags after a white nationalist, Dylann Roof, opened fire at a South Carolina church and killed nine worshippers.<\/p>\n Miller has helped craft the president\u2019s controversial immigration policies, including the ban on citizens of certain Muslim majority countries and the family separation policy on the southern border. Miller is Jewish and his ancestors were immigrants to the United States.<\/p>\n
