{"id":21219,"date":"2020-07-21T14:42:38","date_gmt":"2020-07-21T18:42:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=21219"},"modified":"2020-07-21T14:42:38","modified_gmt":"2020-07-21T18:42:38","slug":"tucker-under-serious-assault-by-the-new-york-times-his-family-vulnerable-to-deliberate-media-endangerment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=21219","title":{"rendered":"Tucker Under Serious Assault by the New York Times, His Family Vulnerable to Deliberate Media Endangerment"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"c-article__heading o-article__heading\">Tucker Carlson Accuses\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>\u00a0of Planning to Report on Where His Family Lives to \u2018Hurt Us\u2019; NYT Denies<\/h1>\n<p><!--more-->By Josh Feldman<br \/>\nFOX News<\/p>\n<p>Fox News\u2019\u00a0<strong>Tucker Carlson<\/strong>\u00a0returned from vacation Monday night and ended his program going after the\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>, saying they will be running \u201ca story about where my family and I live.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a matter of journalism, there is no conceivable justification for a story like that,\u201d he said. \u201cThe paper is not alleging we\u2019ve done anything wrong and we haven\u2019t. We pay our taxes. We like our neighbors. We\u2019ve never had a dispute with anyone. So why is the\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>\u00a0doing a story on the location of my family\u2019s house? Well, you know why. To hurt us, to injure my wife and kids so that I will shut up and stop disagreeing with them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He brought up the time in late 2018 when antifa protesters gathered outside his house, telling viewers, \u201cThey vandalized our home. They threatened my wife. She called 911 while hiding in the closet.\u201d He said they eventually decided to move.<\/p>\n<p>Carlson told viewers the paper is going to run its report this week:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cEditors there know exactly what will happen to my family when it does run. I called them today and I told them. But they didn\u2019t care. They hate my politics. They want this show off the air. If one of my children gets hurt because of a story they wrote, they won\u2019t consider it collateral damage. They know it\u2019s the whole point of the exercise.
