Even though The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is NOT a health or environmental agency they are supposed to protect the public by regulating the telecom industry.\u00a0 Unfortunately, they have NOT been protecting the public since long before the Trump administration (see\u00a01<\/a>,\u00a02<\/a>).\u00a0 The \u201cRace for\u00a05G<\/a>\u201d has made this\u00a0much more dangerous<\/a>.<\/p>\n People and pets have already been\u00a0<\/strong>getting sick<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0where 5G has been turned on\u00a0<\/strong>(<\/strong>see\u00a0<\/strong>1<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>2<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>3)<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>This isn\u2019t surprising since\u00a0doctors and scientists<\/a>\u00a0have warned that 5G exposure is NOT safe.\u00a0 Hell \u2013 the\u00a0telecom industry hasn\u2019t even tried to defend 5G<\/a>\u00a0as being safe.\u00a0 5G lawsuits, opposition, and warnings continue to increase in the U.S. and worldwide for a variety of reasons\u00a0in addition<\/em>\u00a0to biological and environmental risks (see\u00a01<\/a>,\u00a02<\/a>,\u00a03<\/a>,\u00a04<\/a>,\u00a05<\/a>,\u00a06<\/a>,\u00a07<\/a>).<\/p>\n Adding insult to injury, the FCC is now providing financial aid for 5G to be installed in rural areas.\u00a0 From\u00a0Technocracy News and Trends<\/a><\/em>:<\/p>\n In a massive handout, Technocrat lobbyists and those within the FCC are orchestrating payment of taxpayer funds to wireless carriers to install 5G into rural areas. One application is for \u2018precision agriculture.\u2019 \u2043 TN Editor<\/p>\n Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai\u00a0announced plans<\/a>\u00a0for a $9 billion fund to help carriers deploy 5G wireless service in rural America, which will replace an existing program that supported 4G LTE networks.<\/p>\n The 5G Fund will be distributed through a reverse auction and will target areas with difficult terrain or sparse populations. The FCC will set aside at least $1 billion for projects facilitating precision agriculture.<\/p>\n According to a\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0released by the FCC this week, the previous Mobility Fund Phase II was marred by inaccurate data provided by carriers. Based on speed tests conducted over nearly 10,000 miles of driving, FCC staff determined that \u201ccoverage maps submitted by certain carriers likely overstated each provider\u2019s actual coverage and did not reflect on-the-ground experience in many instances.\u201d<\/p>\n Telecoms have charged ahead to deploy 5G in urban areas since the spring, with limited launches in downtown neighborhoods. But rural areas have\u00a0lagged behind<\/a>. Because 5G requires installation of small cells to broadcast heavy data, it\u2019s a challenge to install the necessary infrastructure in sparsely populated areas. Despite promises from telecoms that they will target rural areas \u2014 Sprint and T-Mobile have made that pledge a key part of their\u00a0proposed merger<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 deployment is likely far off.<\/p>\n The federal funding, however, will offer a major inventive and help companies get over the high up-front cost of installing infrastructure and obtaining spectrum.\u00a0Federal funding<\/a>\u00a0from the FCC, the Agriculture Department and other agencies has helped\u00a0improve<\/a>\u00a0rural broadband access.<\/p>\n Christopher Mitchell, director of the Community Broadband Networks Initiative for the Institute for Local Self-Reliance, said the funds will help, although he cautioned that rural areas will still not likely see the kind of speeds cities will get. Instead, he said, \u201cyou\u2019ll see better services that may be similar to 5G, but it\u2019s really about improved mobile service.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The FCC is part of \u201cThe Swamp\u201d that Trump promised to drain if he was elected president.\u00a0 We haven\u2019t forgotten, Donald.<\/p>\n
