Within the small group conducting the 2016 FBI investigation of the Trump campaign, the Steele Dossier was called \u201cCrown Material<\/em><\/strong>\u201c.\u00a0 A name relating to Christopher Steele\u2019s British intelligence position. [James Comey testimony to congress]<\/p>\n

The \u201cCrown Material\u201d has become more interesting\u00a0recently<\/em>\u00a0against the backdrop of U.S. Attorney John Durham seeking the documents and communication from former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey [SEE HERE<\/a>] where John Brennan wanted the Crown Material (Steele Dossier) included the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment.<\/p>\n

However, there\u2019s a\u00a0coded email<\/em>\u00a0from Lisa Page, on January 10th, 2017, that might prove to be even more valuable for Mr. Durham as he investigates a possible conspiracy therein:<\/p>\n

The \u201cC material\u201d is a reference to \u201cCrown Material\u201d, and when put into context of the date and email participants this tells a remarkably explosive story.<\/p>\n

FBI lawyer Lisa Page is forwarding an origination email from Peter Strzok and informing the FBI small group: Peter Strzok, Bill Priestap, Jonathan Moffa and Jennifer Boone, that \u201cWe have lots of details from [Mike] Kortan\u201d for a briefing at 3:45pm on January 10th.<\/p>\n

\u201cKortan\u201d is FBI Asst. Director of Media Comms\u00a0Michael Kortan<\/a>, who appears in multiple emails and text messages coordinating communication with the small group media allies.<\/p>\n

However, for the context of this specific email, Peter Strzok has initiated contact with CNN to leak a story\u2026 and Strzok is informing the group that CNN will publish the \u201cC Material\u201d, or a story predicated on the Steele Dossier, on January 10th, 2017, between 4 and 5 pm.\u00a0\u00a0 That is Jake Tappers\u2019 hour for broadcast.<\/p>\n
