British rock guitar legend Eric Clapton moved one step closer to\u00a0Roger Waters<\/a>\u00a0territory last week, telling an interviewer that \u201cIsrael is running the world, Israel is running the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 79-year-old musician, who has recently performed playing a guitar painted in the colors of\u00a0the Palestinian flag<\/a>, \u00a0was interviewed on May 22 \u00a0by David Spuria, an American Youtuber who hosts the popular Real Music Observer show.<\/p>\n

Talking about the recent campus protests in the US against Israel, Clapton criticized the Senate hearings in which university presidents were asked about\u00a0antisemitism on campus<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was so enthused about what was going on at Columbia [University] and elsewhere. And then what I couldn\u2019t believe, because it freaked me out, were the Senate hearings, which were like the Nuremberg trials, you know?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
