{"id":32071,"date":"2020-10-15T17:12:25","date_gmt":"2020-10-15T21:12:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=32071"},"modified":"2020-10-15T17:12:53","modified_gmt":"2020-10-15T21:12:53","slug":"here-are-the-hunter-biden-emails-where-connections-to-daddy-biden-are-being-to-boost-burisma-pay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=32071","title":{"rendered":"Here are the Hunter Biden emails where connections to Daddy Biden are being to boost Burisma pay"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Hunter Biden emails show leveraging connections with his father to boost Burisma pay<\/h1>\n<p>By Emma-Jo Morris and Gabrielle Fonrouge<br \/>\nNew York Post<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" height=\"348\" width=\"618\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"\/\/players.brightcove.net\/4137224153001\/6aIMRO3kiI_default\/index.html?videoId=6128347268001\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden discussed leveraging his connection to his father in a bid to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/09\/23\/gop-senators-release-explosive-report-on-hunter-biden-burisma\/\">boost his pay from a Ukrainian natural gas company<\/a>, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/10\/14\/email-reveals-how-hunter-biden-introduced-ukrainian-biz-man-to-dad\/\">an email he sent<\/a>\u00a0around the time he joined the firm\u2019s corporate board.<\/p>\n<p>In a lengthy memo to his then-business partner, Devon Archer, who already sat on the Burisma board, Biden repeatedly mentioned \u201cmy guy\u201d while apparently referring to then-Vice President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Under President Barack Obama, the elder Biden was the point person for US policy toward Ukraine, and he held a press conference there with Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk on April 22, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden\u2019s email to Archer is dated a little more than a week earlier.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe announcement of my guys [sic] upcoming travels should be characterized as part of our advice and thinking- but what he will say and do is out of our hands,\u201d Hunter Biden wrote on April 13, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn other words it could be a really good thing or it could end up creating too great an expectation. This is a huge step for us that could easily become very complicated. And if we are not protected financially regardless of the outcome we could find ourselves frozen out of a lot of current and future opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe contract should begin now- not after the upcoming visit of my guy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat should include a retainer in the range of 25k p\/m w\/ additional fees where appropriate for more in depth work to go to BSF for our protection. Bush.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden, a graduate of Yale Law School, was \u201cof counsel\u201d to the firm when he was asked to join the Burisma board in April 2014, according to a statement posted by his lawyer, George Mesires,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@george.mesires\/a-statement-on-behalf-of-hunter-biden-dated-october-13-2019-d80bc11087ab\">on the website Medium in October<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The email to Archer contained 22 bullet points and bore the subject line \u201cTmrw.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In No. 22, Hunter Biden told Archer, \u201cBuy a cell phone from a 7\/11 or CVS tmrw and ill do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the bullet points, Hunter Biden wrote, \u201cThis could be the break we have been waiting for if they really are smart enough to understand our long term value. If they are looking to just use us until the storm passes then we risked far too much for far too little.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinally, we need to have a plan on how we develop a corporate entity or LLP that allows us to draw on funds generated here to free us from existing (under-producing current commitments) and to build our own investment and expansion strategy. Maintaining the status quo is not an option,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can preserve our interest in the areas where minimal involvement is appropriate but should not get greedy and try to keep all the balls in the air that exist today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"scribd_480001587\" class=\"scribd_iframe_embed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/embeds\/480001587\/content?start_page=1&amp;view_mode&amp;access_key=key-gMD4hBLO5M39UfG9xacI\" width=\"100%\" height=\"500\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-auto-height=\"true\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/doc\/480001587\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">View this document on Scribd<\/a><\/div>\n<p>Hunter Biden then used a series of initials \u2014 RCP, RSTP and BHRT \u2014 to apparently refer to the men\u2019s other business interests that \u201call make sense and can co-exist and progress without our day to day oversight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut Advisors and the BD need a transition plan,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The email wrapped up with Hunter Biden saying, \u201cWe should also find a highly credible and discreet firm to perform due diligence and deep information for us on an ongoing basis.
