He revealed that transcripts of Atkinson\u2019s secret testimony will expose that the Inspector General either lied or he needs to make corrections to his statements to lawmakers. The transcripts has been kept from the public by House Intelligence Committee Chairman\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/saraacarter.com\/an-independent-is-challenging-adam-schiff-in-2020-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adam Schiff,<\/a>\u00a0D-CA, because it is damaging to their \u201cimpeachment scam,\u201d Nunes said.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"entry-title td-module-title\">\n<h3><strong><a title=\"Kevin McCarthy: Nancy Pelosi wants to add a third article of impeachment\" href=\"https:\/\/saraacarter.com\/kevin-mccarthy-nancy-pelosi-wants-to-add-a-third-article-of-impeachment\/\" rel=\"bookmark\">Kevin McCarthy: Nancy Pelosi wants to add a third article of impeachment<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The whistleblower, who has not been formally named by lawmakers, met with Schiff\u2019s staff members prior to submitting their complaint to Atkinson. Schiff was chided by Republican lawmakers and many members of the media for falsely claiming that his committee had no contact with the whistleblower.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>(Atkinson) is under active investigation. I\u2019m not gonna go any farther than that because you know obviously he has a chance to come in and prove his innocence, but my guess is Schiff, Atkinson they don\u2019t want that transcript out because it\u2019s very damaging, Rep. Nunes<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3><em><strong>The Schiff Factor<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Schiff stated publicly \u201cwe have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.\u201d In fact, the \u00a0whistleblower had reached out to a committee aide before filing a complaint, a story that was first reported by the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/10\/02\/us\/politics\/adam-schiff-whistleblower.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0New York Times.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe really do need to hear from the whistleblower,\u201d Nunes told The Sara Carter Show. \u201cThat needs to happen and the fact that the Democrats won\u2019t release the transcript of us interviewing the Inspector General Atkinson that brought this scam forward. Everyone needs to see that testimony and the reason that it\u2019s not being released is because it\u2019s very damaging, not only to the whistleblower, but also to Atkinson himself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nunes could not disclose the content of the whistleblower testimony but said \u201cthis testimony is really bad and\u2026the Republicans have an active investigation into Atkinson.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nunes noted that he, along with Reps.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/saraacarter.com\/kevin-mccarthy-nancy-pelosi-wants-to-add-a-third-article-of-impeachment\/\">Kevin McCarthy<\/a>, R-CA, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/omny.fm\/shows\/the-sara-carter-show\/jim-jordan-remember-if-they-can-do-it-to-a-preside\">Jim Jordan<\/a>, R-Ohio, sent a letter to Atkinson stating that the anti-Trump whistleblower did not offer any direct, first-hand evidence of alleged wrongdoing against Trump. They questioned Atkinson\u2019s reasoning for accepting the complaint that is filled with hearsay and rumor.<\/p>\n<h3><em><strong>Atkinson Doesn\u2019t Want To Answer Questions<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p>The Republican lawmakers asked Atkinson to explain who revised the complaint and for what reason.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve mentioned it, but I think people have just kind of ignored it because, of course, we don\u2019t have the subpoena power, so we can\u2019t bring Atkinson back in but he\u2019s got serious questions to answer for because I believe that he either lied to Congress or he really needs to correct his statements and he\u2019s refused to respond,\u201d said Nunes, who could not elaborate on Atkinson\u2019s testimony.<\/p>\n<p>He said that Atkinson\u2019s response to their letter was not sufficient.<\/p>\n<p>Atkinson \u201cgave us a very typical IC response, which is to not answer the question,\u201d said Nunes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThree years ago, that might\u2019ve worked,\u201d he said. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t work with us anymore. He is under active investigation. I\u2019m not gonna go any farther than that because you know obviously he has a chance to come in and prove his innocence, but my guess is Schiff, Atkinson they don\u2019t want that transcript out because it\u2019s very damaging.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing that it hasn\u2019t been made public yet, why would it not be,\u201d Nunes questioned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd nobody in the media is calling for it,\u201d he told The Sara Carter Show. \u201cYou\u2019d think they would be, but you know I\u2019ve talked about it on television, John Ratcliffe\u2019s talked about it on television. There\u2019s very few of us that actually know what\u2019s in the transcript, but, yeah, it\u2019s a major problem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well, this reporter is asking for it and it should be made public.
