According to Deputy Sheriffs, Mac’s Public House general manager and co-owner Daniel Presti was charged with several offenses, including obstructing governmental administration, for continuing to operate the establishment despite being in an ‘orange zone’ – where indoor dining is not allowed and there is a 10 p.m. dining curfew, according to\u00a0NY1<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n To try to get around those rules,\u00a0Mac’s tried to offer free food and drinks with a suggested donation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The state stripped the bar of its liquor license last week<\/strong>, and the city health department ordered the bar to close.<\/p>\n The state Liquor Authority had said\u00a0offering alcohol for free is not a \u201cloophole” and that a liquor license is needed to sell or serve alcohol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n On Tuesday, the city Buildings Department ordered the business to vacate.<\/p>\n Despite that order, investigators say plainclothes\u00a0deputies saw 14 people inside eating and drinking inside Tuesday night<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Deputies arrested Presti and gave employees appearance tickets<\/strong>\u00a0for violating city and state laws. –NY1<\/em><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/zh-prod-1cc738ca-7d3b-4a72-b792-20bd8d8fa069.storage.googleapis.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_desktop\/public\/inline-images\/EoOqqf_XEAEv-2i.jpg?itok=Z9IYtDuR)
