At\u00a0every level of government, new legislation aims to streamline (meaning force) the installation of these 5G \u201csmall cell\u201d antennas in public rights-of-way.<\/p>\n<p>5G will\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ieeexplore.ieee.org\/document\/9221314\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">increase<\/a>\u00a0ambient levels of wireless radiofrequency radiation. Peer-reviewed research has demonstrated a myriad of adverse effects from wireless radiofrequency radiation including increased\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0013935118303475\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">brain cancer,<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/epdf\/10.1002\/em.22343\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DNA damage<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/26151230\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">oxidative stress,<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/30025338\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">immune dysfunction<\/a>,\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/28506085\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">altered brain development,<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/27601711\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">damaged reproduction,<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/23482083\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sleep changes<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/?term=Fetal+radiofrequency+radiation+exposure+from+800-1900+Mhz-rated+cellular+telephones+affects+neurodevelopment+and+behavior+in+mice\">hyperactivity<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ehp.niehs.nih.gov\/doi\/10.1289\/EHP2427\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">memory damage.\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/scientific-research-on-5g-and-health\/\">(RESEARCH HERE)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thousands of doctors and scientists are calling to halt 5G because of the increase in radiofrequency radiation- a new kind of environmental pollution. Entire countries like France, Switzerland, and Nigeria are having a national conversation on the safety of 5G and they are launching major investigations to research the issue of safety.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/international-actions-to-halt-and-delay-5g\/\">(Details HERE)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the United States, cities such as Petaluma, Mill Valley<b>,\u00a0<\/b>Monterey in California, and Doylestown in Pennsylvania have voted and passed policies to halt 5G or restrict the rollout into neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>Los Altos California voted to prohibit the installation of small cells on public utility easements in residential neighborhoods\u00a0and established a 500-foot setback from a small cell to schools. It means a shorter cell tower close to homes and schools. Each \u201cfacility\u201d will have transmitting wireless antennas and often ugly bulky equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The FCC has estimated over 800,000 new \u201csmall\u201d cells to be installed throughout the USA.<\/p>\n<p>Millions are planned worldwide. Antennas will be placed on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Street lights<\/li>\n<li>Trashcans<\/li>\n<li>Utility poles<\/li>\n<li>Bus stops<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\u00a05G is NOT Faster<\/h2>\n<p>Despite the industry message that 5G will be faster, in reality 5G is turning out to be slower. Testing finds\u00a05G in the field is actually nearly the same speed or slower than 4G. It is not working out so well. Read \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3575510\/at-this-point-5g-is-a-bad-joke.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">At this point, 5G is a bad joke\u201d<\/a>\u00a0published in Computerworld. \u201cUnless you live or work right next to an mmWave transceiver, you\u2019re simply not going to see those promised speeds or anything close to them.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>5G antennas will\u00a0 transmit radiation differently<\/h2>\n<p>5G will use new \u201cbeamforming\u201d antenna designs that create multiple streams of signal from each fixture.<\/p>\n<p>Each installation can have over a thousand antennas that are transmitting simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_5 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<h2>Skyrocketing Energy Consumption<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Engineers say 5G is \u201can energy hog.\u201d The millions of new short \u201csmall\u201d cell towers and over<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vxchnge.com\/blog\/iot-statistics\">\u00a064 billion<\/a>\u00a0IoT devices are expected by 2025. Industry reports repeatedly state that energy efficiency goals will not be fully met, and that\u00a0<strong>energy use from wireless devices and networks will grow exponentially,<\/strong>\u00a0ever increasing our carbon footprint. The Insurance authority Swiss Re released a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Swiss-Re-SONAR-Publication-2019-excerpt-1.pdf\">white paper\u00a0<\/a>classifying 5G as a \u201chigh\u201d emerging risk cautioning that \u201cpotential claims for health impairments may come with a long latency.\u201d If insurance companies won\u2019t take the risk why should we?<\/p>\n<p>Legal experts are starting to request that localities get insurance to cover health damages and before rolling out 5G in neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section et_pb_section_4 et_section_regular\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_5\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_3 et_pb_column_9 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_10 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-28159 alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-Health-Trust-39.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-Health-Trust-39.png 300w, https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-Health-Trust-39-150x150.png 150w\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_2_3 et_pb_column_10 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_11 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<h2>The radiation from these small cell antennas is not small.<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Wireless antennas emit microwaves \u2014 non-ionizing radiofrequency radiation \u2014 and so these \u201csmall\u201d cells essentially function as short cell towers.\u00a0A<a href=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/high-radiation-from-millimeter-wave-5g-deployment-in-austin-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a02020 paper<\/a>\u00a0analyzed the radio frequency radiation\u00a0 environment that would result if a\u00a0 mmWave-based 5G network was fully deployed in Austin Texas and found the radiation levels to be significantly increased.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Examples of how small cells are not small include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They increase electromagnetic radiation near homes.<\/li>\n<li>They have refrigerator-sized (and larger) equipment cabinets.<\/li>\n<li>Property values drop after a cell tower is built near homes.<\/li>\n<li>Taller and wider poles are needed for the antennas.<\/li>\n<li>Fixtures weigh hundreds of pounds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section et_pb_section_5 et_section_regular\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_6\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_3 et_pb_column_11 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_12 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-28777 alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-Health-Trust-4-1.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-Health-Trust-4-1.png 300w, https:\/\/ehtrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-Health-Trust-4-1-150x150.png 150w\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_2_3 et_pb_column_12 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_13 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<h2>Small cell installations are not the size of pizza boxes.<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Each so-called \u201csmall\u201d cell installation has antennas on the top and electronics cabinets at the bottom. The electronics are housed in metal boxes \u2013 called \u201cstreet furniture\u201d by industry to make it sound warm and cozy. These cabinets can be\u00a0<i>larger\u00a0<\/i>than a refrigerator, so large people could fit into them. In addition, there will be various radio units, a smart meter, and potentially unseemly wires.<\/p>\n<p>Most neighborhood light poles are not strong enough to hold the 5G equipment so they will be replaced by much taller wider poles with antennas and 6 ft buzzing boxes. This is called \u201chardening\u201d the poles, but basically it means the poles will be much wider and thicker metal.\u00a0 In Montgomery County as an example, the slim 14 ft light poles will be replaced with hefty 24 ft towers with 300-pound antennas and 6 ft buzzing boxes.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_section et_pb_section_6 et_section_regular\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_7\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_2 et_pb_column_13 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_14 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe title=\"5G, Cell Phone Radiation Health Effects Lennart Hardell MD Expert Lecture 4\/2019\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1R7gALEmQdc?start=2&amp;feature=oembed\" name=\"fitvid1\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_2 et_pb_column_14 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_15 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<h2>5G will add an extra layer\u00a0 \u2014 not replace \u2014 our current wireless technology.<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>5G will utilize current 3G and 4G wireless frequencies already in use and also add even more radiation. They requested that 5G towers not be installed on firehouses.
