And while the world waits to see just how effective the various coronavirus vaccines will be in practice,\u00a0members of Joe Biden’s coronavirus task force have warned that dangerous mutant strains<\/strong>\u00a0that have yet to be isolated might already be spreading across the US.<\/p>\n A report sent by the WH task force to various US states dated Jan. 3 warns of the possibility of a “USA variant”, which might explain Thursday’s record-breaking tally of new deaths (more than 4K).<\/p>\n “This fall\/winter surge has been at nearly twice the rate of rise of cases as the spring and summer surges.
