Reuters reports<\/em><\/a>\u00a0that the top federal prosecutor in Washington, D.C. said on Friday\u00a0there is no \u201cdirect evidence\u201d to suggest that rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol had formed \u201ckill capture teams.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n The comments by Acting U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin appeared to be an effort to\u00a0walk back claims federal prosecutors in Arizona<\/strong>\u00a0had made in a court filing late on Thursday, in which they alleged there was evidence that rioters intended \u201cto capture and assassinate elected officials.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Late on Thursday, federal prosecutors had made sweeping claims about the ongoing investigation in a filing<\/p>\n \u201cStrong evidence, including Chansley\u2019s own words and actions at the Capitol, supports that the intent of the Capitol rioters was to capture and assassinate elected officials in the United States government,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0the memo said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Except we now know… there was no evidence, let alone ‘strong evidence’!<\/strong><\/p>\n We look forward to Bloomberg, NBC, and CNN all retracting this story and putting the American public straight.<\/p>\n The excuse for this egregious lie being broadcast worldwide?
