Institute of India, the world\u2019s biggest vaccine manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>Images from Reuters partner ANI showed smoke billowing out of a building in SII\u2019s massive complex in the western city of Pune, in southern Maharashtra state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you everyone for your concern and prayers,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/adarpoonawalla\/status\/1352210515880255489\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SII CEO Adar Poonawalla said on Twitter.<\/a>\u00a0\u201cSo far the most important thing is that there have been no lives lost or major injuries due to the fire, despite a few floors being destroyed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added in a later tweet: \u201cI would like to reassure all governments &amp; the public that there would be no loss of #COVISHIELD million doses<\/a>\u00a0a month of a vaccine developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca at other facilities in the complex.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said at least five fire trucks had been sent to fight
