that there are \u2018over 100 gender identities\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The film, \u2018Identity \u2013 Understanding Sexual and Gender Identities\u2019, is being offered on the corporation\u2019s website as part of its relationships and sex education package.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/embed\/video\/2339670.html\" width=\"698\" height=\"573\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It comes despite Government guidance published last year which advised schools to exercise caution when teaching children about gender issues.<\/p>\n<p>The programme, which features children asking adults about sexuality and gender on behalf of their peers, suggests the different identities include \u2018bi-gender\u2019, \u2018gender-queer\u2019 and \u2018pansexual\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The film also tells children that becoming transgender is a way to be \u2018happy\u2019 while making no mention of the growing legal and medical concerns about the rising number of children saying they want to change gender.<\/p>\n<p>A majority of school-age children are currently being forced to resort to online learning because the lockdown has shut access to the classrooms for all but key workers.<\/p>\n<p>Last night, the BBC said teachers were \u2018strongly advised\u2019 to watch the film before viewing
