CBS4 Medical Editor Dr. Dave Hnida says that Americans should wear not one but TWO face masks if they want to ensure full protection against COVID-19.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSpecifically what we\u2019re saying is that two masks may actually equal the protection you would get from N-95 masks, which is considered the best mask there is short of a complete respirator-type unit,\u201d Hnida said.<\/p>\n

Pointing out that football coaches and Joe Biden have been seen \u201cdouble masking,\u201d Hnida said, \u201cEven in my own family, when we have outside contact \u2014 as limited as it may be \u2014 we double mask,\u201d adding that \u201cit\u2019s something you may want to consider.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the report warns that \u201cthree masks may be going too far, since that could interfere with the ability to breathe.\u201d<\/p>\n
