“President Trump will always and forever be a champion for the American People,” the release added.<\/p>\n
On Friday, Trump said, “We\u2019ll do something, but not just yet,” when a reporter asked about his plans.<\/p>\n
Trump left Washington, D.C.,\u00a0for his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach on Wednesday morning, shortly before President Joe Biden was sworn into office.<\/p>\n
The former president has been suspended permanently from Twitter and banned or restricted by other major social media platforms in the wake of the Jan. 6 riot of the U.S. Capitol.<\/p>\n
Former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale created a new email distribution system via one of his private companies to distribute Trump\u2019s statements because the 2020 campaign\u2019s email infrastructure has been suspended by vendor Campaign Monitor, according to two people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg News reports.<\/p>\n
Allies have said Trump will support\u00a0primary challenges to\u00a0Republicans whom he believes\u00a0wronged him in the wake of his election defeat. The\u00a0politicians include Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who was one of 10 Republicans to vote to impeach Trump earlier this month.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0House of Representatives\u00a0on Jan. 13 impeached Trump for a second time, charging him with inciting the Capitol riot.<\/p>\n
The president has not commented publicly on the Senate impeachment trial set to start next month, but he has started to form a defense team.<\/p>\n
The statement announcing the new office was issued less than an hour before House Democrats crossed the U.S. Capitol Monday to deliver to the Senate an article of impeachment against the former president.<\/p>\n
