And some companies that deliver electricity to households and businesses have told customers to expect to be without power through at least the end of the day as they work to restore power generating units that went offline during the storm.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>The Latest: Houston scrambles to give vaccines after outage<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenewstribune.com\/news\/business\/article249263155.html\">HOUSTON<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 Officials in Houston say massive power outages across Texas because of a winter storm knocked out electricity to a facility storing over 8,000 doses of Moderna\u2019s coronavirus vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>The outages forced Houston health officials Monday to scramble to distribute the doses before they went bad. The weight of too much snow may compromise some roofs<br \/>\nof homes and businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The National Weather Service said the storm was expected to bring \u201cfrigid arctic air,\u201d record-setting snowfall and \u201cdangerously cold wind chills\u201d from coast to coast through at least Tuesday.
