{"id":54521,"date":"2021-03-01T16:40:37","date_gmt":"2021-03-01T20:40:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=54521"},"modified":"2021-03-01T16:40:37","modified_gmt":"2021-03-01T20:40:37","slug":"4-arrested-in-texas-on-150-counts-of-voter-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=54521","title":{"rendered":"4 Arrested In Texas On 150 Counts Of Voter Fraud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->by Isabel von Brugen<br \/>\nThe Epoch Times<\/p>\n<p><strong>Four people were arrested in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-texas\">Texas<\/a>\u00a0last month on 150 counts of voter fraud dating back to the 2018 Medina County Primary Election,<\/strong>\u00a0according to reports.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/texas-voting-ballot-2-700x420.jpg?itok=k06O7fcb\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/texas-voting-ballot-2-700x420.jpg?itok=k06O7fcb\" data-link-option=\"0\"><picture><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zh-prod-1cc738ca-7d3b-4a72-b792-20bd8d8fa069.storage.googleapis.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/texas-voting-ballot-2-700x420.jpg?itok=k06O7fcb\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"b0d6942a-d85d-43fd-b4e0-a04b4b84d536\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" \/><\/picture><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Texas attorney general\u2019s Election Fraud Unit on Feb. 11 arrested Medina County Justice of the Peace Tomas Ramirez, and earlier detained Leonor Rivas Garza, Eva Ann Martinez and Mary Balderrama on election fraud allegations, News4SA reported.<\/p>\n<p>According to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasattorneygeneral.gov\/news\/releases\/ag-paxtons-law-enforcement-arrest-round\">release<\/a>\u00a0from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton\u2019s office,\u00a0<strong>the case involved allegations of vote harvesting at assisted living centers in Medina County in the 2018 Medina County Primary Election.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ramirez faces one count of organized election fraud, one count of assisting voter voting ballot by mail, and 17 counts of unlawful possession of a ballot or ballot envelope, according to the news outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Balderrama is charged with one count of organized election fraud, nine counts of illegal voting, two counts of unlawful possession of ballot or ballot envelope, one count of mail ballot application, two counts of unlawfully assisting voter voting by mail, two counts of tampering with government record, and eight counts of election fraud.<\/p>\n<p>Garza faces a single count of organized election fraud, two counts of illegal voting, eight counts of unlawful possession of a ballot or ballot envelope, two counts of election fraud and four counts of fraudulent use of an absentee ballot by mail.<\/p>\n<p>Martinez is charged with a single count of organized election fraud, nine counts of illegal voting, 28 counts of unlawful possession of ballot or ballot envelope, three counts of purportedly acting as an agent, five counts of tampering with government record, 14 counts of election fraud, and four counts of fraudulent mail ballot application,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news4sanantonio.com\/news\/local\/four-people-including-justice-of-the-peace-arrested-on-150-counts-of-voter-fraud\">according to News4SA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas attorney general\u2019s office didn\u2019t immediately respond to a request for comment by The Epoch Times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In a separate incident, Raquel Rodriguez, a Texas woman who bragged about being able to\u00a0deliver thousands of votes for tens of thousands in cash was arrested in January on charges including election fraud and illegal voting.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/Veritas-Texas-01-700x420.jpg?itok=C6x19c4t\" data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/Veritas-Texas-01-700x420.jpg?itok=C6x19c4t\" data-link-option=\"0\"><picture><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zh-prod-1cc738ca-7d3b-4a72-b792-20bd8d8fa069.storage.googleapis.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/Veritas-Texas-01-700x420.jpg?itok=C6x19c4t\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"18b7c9de-e126-4d00-9b5b-adf24b5b0761\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" \/><\/picture><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rodriguez\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/operative-caught-on-camera-appears-to-list-prices-for-vote-manipulation-schemes-in-texas_3556638.html\">was filmed<\/a>\u00a0during an undercover project by Project Veritas,<\/strong>\u00a0an investigative journalism nonprofit. She was recorded in footage released last year that she could deliver \u201cat least 5,000\u201d votes \u201ccounty-wide\u201d for $55,000 in cash and that it would hire her \u201centire team.\u201d She acknowledged what she was discussing could land her prison time.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the footage, Paxton, a Republican, opened an investigation.
