<\/picture><\/a><\/p>\nThe Supreme Court didn\u2019t offer any comment on dismissing the lawsuits on Monday. One lawsuit was filed in Wisconsin and the other in Arizona.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe petitions for writs of mandamus are denied<\/strong>,\u201d the court said.<\/p>\n \u201cA submission directly to this Court seeking an extraordinary writ of mandamus is unusual, but it has its foundation. While such relief is rare, this Court will grant it \u2018where a question of public importance is involved, or where the question is of such a nature that it is peculiarly appropriate that such action by this Court should be taken<\/strong>,\u2019\u201d one of Powell\u2019s mandamus petitions\u00a0said<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Epoch Times has reached out to Powell for comment. Powell did not appear to have posted a comment about Supreme Court\u2019s decision on her Telegram page on Monday.<\/p>\n A day before President Joe Biden\u2019s inauguration on Jan. 20, Powell withdrew another lawsuit in the Supreme Court challenging Georgia\u2019s election results.<\/p>\n And several weeks ago, Powell announced she launched a super PAC dedicated to\u00a0freedom of speech, Constitutional rights, and \u201cthe sacred right of free and fair elections.\u201d<\/p>\n Powell in late January said she created the Restore the Republic Super PAC, which is an independent expenditure-only political action committee that may receive unlimited contributions and may engage in unlimited political spending on initiatives, provided it does not coordinate directly with campaigns or candidates.<\/p>\n \u201cThe American people deserve a voice that exposes and rejects the self-interest of political parties, the control of tech giants, and the lies of the fake news<\/strong>,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, after the Jan. 6 Capitol breach, Twitter suspended the accounts belonging to a number of conservatives, including Powell. Powell, in a statement to The Epoch Times at the time, said\u00a0there \u201cwas no warning at all\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0about her Twitter account being deleted, adding that \u201cit is stunning.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTwitter\u2019s actions and those of banks who shut down accounts of people who went to DC are fascism in its purest form \u2026 It is a communist coup that has been long and well-planned,\u201d she said in an email in January.<\/p>\n Powell, who successfully defended retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, was introduced by the Trump legal team in November, although the team later distanced themselves from her and said she wasn\u2019t working on their behalf.<\/p>\n Separately,\u00a0Dominion Voting Systems filed a $1.3 billion lawsuit against Powell as well as similar lawsuits against Rudy Giuliani and Mike Lindell<\/strong>. Powell\u2019s lawyer, Lin Wood, implied in statements last month that she did nothing wrong. \u201cSidney and I will not be intimidated,\u201d Wood\u00a0said<\/a>, adding that he and Powell \u201cwill not go quietly into the night.\u201d<\/p>\n
