(Natural News<\/a>) When George Orwell\u2019s prophetic book \u201c1984\u201d was published in 1949, there was no way even he could have known what a visionary he was.<\/p>\n A novel about a dystopian future featuring an all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful central government, there was no way anything like that could ever happen in the United States or any<\/i> of Europe\u2019s liberal, civil rights-protecting democracies\u2026right?<\/p>\n Wrong.<\/p>\n While Orwell\u2019s date \u2014 1984 \u2014 might have been just a tad premature, it wasn\u2019t by much. Not long after, within a decade, the world would embrace the Internet, which would then be mastered and taken over by a handful of \u201cbig tech\u201d companies that learned everything about everyone and used that information to profit and consolidate power.<\/p>\n And curry favor with authoritarians in government, many of whom have now exposed themselves during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n Perpetual lockdowns, closing of businesses, and the curbing of constitutional liberties have all pretty much gone on with little resistance, from we the people, save a protest here and there. And because of that, the elites in big tech and government who know us better than we know ourselves and who now control virtually every aspect of our lives are using their power in the most authoritarian manner.<\/p>\n \u201cIn a corporatist system of government, wherein there is no meaningful separation between corporate power and state power, corporate censorship is state censorship,\u201d modern-day visionary and libertarian Caitlin Johnstone wrote in August 2018.<\/p>\n She was already aware of the unholy alliance forming between big tech and big government deep state types who were laying the groundwork for tyranny in the not too distant future. All they lacked was a triggering event.<\/p>\n The Chinese Communist government gave them one \u2014 conveniently, many people believe, given the fact that, at the time, Donald Trump was eating China\u2019s lunch.<\/p>\n Johnstone wrote:<\/p>\n Last year, representatives of Facebook, Twitter, and Google were instructed on the US Senate floor that it is their responsibility to \u201cquell information rebellions\u201d and adopt a \u201cmission statement\u201d expressing their commitment to \u201cprevent the fomenting of discord.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cCivil wars don\u2019t start with gunshots, they start with words,\u201d the representatives were told. \u201cAmerica\u2019s war with itself has already begun. We all must act now on the social media battlefield to quell information rebellions that can quickly lead to violent confrontations and easily transform us into the Divided States of America.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n At the time, the big tech platforms had already begun silencing \u2018dissenting\u2019 voices, a practice which has only quickened in the few years since, extending all the way to a former president of the United States, proving once and for all who\u2019s really<\/i> in charge of information flow.<\/p>\n Today, these same tyrants are now using the excuse of \u201cquelling disinformation\u201d to further control the flow, end all dissent, and transform America into an unquestioning society of propagandized bots.<\/p>\n We\u2019re seeing this play out with the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines.<\/p>\n Reuters reported last week<\/a> that the Biden regime has reached out to big tech companies including Facebook, Twitter and Alphabet Inc\u2019s Google to insist the platforms clamp down on \u201cCOVID misinformation.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPresident Joe Biden, who has raced to curb the pandemic since taking office, has made inoculating Americans one of his top priorities and called the move \u2018a wartime effort.\u2019 But tackling public fear about taking the vaccine has emerged as a major impediment for the administration,\u201d the newswire reported further.<\/p>\n First things first: Biden\u2019s mind is gone, so this isn\u2019t his<\/i> effort, it is an effort being guided by the Marxist handlers behind the scene.<\/p>\n Secondly, this pandemic has been used by some of the same people as a cudgel to destroy our Bill of Rights, our electoral system, and our ability to share pertinent, counter-info that actually makes us better informed.<\/p>\n And it\u2019s only going to get worse.<\/p>\n \u201cDisinformation that causes vaccine hesitancy is going to be a huge obstacle to getting everyone vaccinated and there are no larger players in that than the social media platforms,\u201d one administration source told Reuters.<\/p>\n Get the picture?
