British former Supreme Court judge Lord Sumption has warned that\u00a0\u201csocial controls\u201d<\/a>\u00a0brought about by the coronavirus pandemic may be kept in place by governments for up to a decade.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s politically unrealistic to expect the Government to backtrack now,\u201d commented Sumption, who has been\u00a0highly critical of the government\u2019s \u2018totalitarian\u2019 lockdown policies.<\/a><\/p>\n
