But the 34-year-old began to feel a tingling sensation in her legs just a week later and noticed a rash flaring up around her ankles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">She called the GP to arrange an appointment that morning, but by the afternoon her skin was already breaking out into blisters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The mother-of-one was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, and claimed at one point she feared her legs might have to be amputated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Ms Beuckmann spent 16 days in hospital, with blisters also appearing on her hands, face, arms and bottom.\u00a0She was discharged to recover at home but is wheelchair-bound because she struggles to walk due to the bandages on her legs and blisters on the soles of her feet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">British skin experts told MailOnline it appeared she had suffered an extremely rare reaction to the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Ms Beuckmann urged Britons to come forward to get the vaccine, revealing she told her story to raise awareness \u2014 &#8216;not to scare people&#8217;.
