Gov. Gretchen Whitmer filed under oath<\/em> on Dec. 31, 2019<\/a> that she held $1,877,466.36 in a single investment in Cerity Partners Investment Account<\/a>. She did nothing to disclose the investments that Cerity held for her. Therefore, she is hiding her beneficial financial holdings behind Cerity.<\/p>\n

Corrupt politicians, judges and bureacrats have resorted to hiding their true financial interests from the public behind mutual funds and investment accounts like Cerity. Federal judges started this trend on Mar. 14, 2001<\/a> at a Judicial Conference where they floated a \u201cguideline\u201d that would allow judicial employees to use a \u201cconcept\u201d (not a rule, guideline or law) called \u201csafe harbor\u201d where judges could hold stock in, say AT&T, inside a, say Blackrock, mutual fund without having to disclose AT&T. Then, if AT&T came before them in a court case, they could play dumb. They then put for the \u201cdiminimus\u201d concept that since AT&T\u2019s stock in Blackrock was proportionally small as compared to the whole portfolio, they would not be benefiting enough to be a material amount.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the Canon of Judicial Conduct says \u201ceven one share\u201d held in a company by one\u2019s spouse is enough to recuse oneself from a matter coming before them, or to at least disclose it so that the parties could decide whether that conflict was acceptable or not.<\/p>\n

In Gov. Whitmer\u2019s case, her holdings in Cerity are massive conflicts in both the COVID scam and 2020 Election rigging\u2026 too many to list in detail.<\/h3>\n
