Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier,\u00a0a former instructor and fighter pilot, was relieved as commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron \u201cdue to loss of trust and confidence in his ability to lead,\u201d the Space Force said over the weekend.<\/p>\n It came after he took part in podcasts to discuss his self-published book, titled \u201cIrresistible Revolution: Marxism\u2019s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military,\u201d that warns against the spread of Marxism and CRT in the military.<\/strong><\/p>\n During an appearance on the\u00a0podcast \u201cInformation Operation,\u201d he\u00a0criticized Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin\u2019s agenda. The department deemed Lohmeier\u2019s comments to be \u201cpartisan political activity.\u201d<\/p>\n In their letter (pdf<\/a>), the two dozen Republicans expressed their alarm over the decision to relieve Lohmeier.<\/strong>\u00a0They said it appears to reflect the development of an \u201cincreasingly politicized environment\u201d in the Department of Defense, which has now manifested in the Space Force.<\/p>\n The lawmakers criticized the use of euphemisms such as \u201cdiversity training\u201d in describing CRT. Such terms, they said, are \u201cgrotesque distortions of reality.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n CRT has gradually proliferated in recent decades through academia, government structures, school systems, and the corporate world. It\u00a0redefines human history<\/a>\u00a0as a struggle between the \u201coppressors\u201d (white people) and the \u201coppressed\u201d (everybody else), similar to Marxism\u2019s reduction of history to a struggle between the \u201cbourgeois\u201d and the \u201cproletariat.\u201d It labels institutions that emerged in majority-white societies as racist and \u201cwhite supremacist.\u201d<\/p>\n Like Marxism, it advocates for the destruction of institutions, such as the Western justice system, free-market economy, and orthodox religions, while demanding that they be replaced with institutions compliant with the CRT ideology.<\/strong><\/p>\n Proponents of CRT have argued that the theory is merely \u201cdemonstrating how pervasive systemic racism truly is.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThose leaders who are complicit with this poisonous philosophy which promotes racial essentialism and collective guilt in our beloved military will be judged by history accordingly,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>the lawmakers wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cPromoting critical race theory will disrupt the good order and discipline in the Space Force and eviscerate our nation\u2019s ability to attract patriotic talent to serve in uniform and fight our wars.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/Capt.-Matthew-Lohmeier-photo-700x420%20%281%29.jpg?itok=2p21xTJ4\")
