Dear New York NVIC Advocacy Team Members,<\/div>\n
We reached out to you last week to ask the Senate Health Committee to oppose S75 that would force adults into the state vaccine tracking system by removing current law that requires consent before adult vaccinations can be put into the vaccine tracking system. Unfortunately S75 was passed on 5\/11\/21 by a vote of 10 yes and 5 no.\u00a0 This bill still has to be voted on by the entire Senate so continuing to contact your own Senator to oppose this bill is important.<\/div>\n
This week we wanted to make you aware that A279<\/a> is the Assembly companion bill doing the same thing, and A279<\/a> is scheduled for a vote<\/a> Thursday, May 20th at 10:30 AM in the Assembly Health Committee<\/a>.<\/div>\n
This bill would require health care providers who administer any vaccine to a person 19 years of age or older to report all adult immunizations to the New York State Department of Health, or for health care providers located in New York City, to the New York City Department of Health.<\/div>\n
Current law, 2168.3.(b)<\/a>,\u00a0makes reporting of adults vaccinations voluntary and only after consent is obtained from the person receiving the vaccine.\u00a0 This bill changes “may” report to “shall”, making reporting of adults mandatory and eliminates the current consent requirement. No adult in the state of New York can escape intrusive government vaccine tracking if this bill passes.<\/div>\n

  1. Email Members of the Assembly Health Committee<\/a> BEFORE 10:30 a.m. on Thursday May 20th<\/sup> and ask them to STRONGLY OPPOSE A279<\/a>. (email list below)\u00a0 You can also try to call them.\u00a0 We have received emails from many of our members telling us some aren\u2019t taking phone calls, but you can try. Click on the individual member names on the page for the Assembly Health Committee<\/a> to get phone numbers.<\/li>\n
  2.
