May 19, 2021 (LifeSiteNews<\/a>) \u2014 Mainstream media reports of surging COVID-19 case levels in India over the last few weeks reignited a wave of fear due to a supposed \u201cfar more deadly<\/a>\u201d variant. Hospitals are reportedly overwhelmed with patients, parking lots are turned into massive\u00a0cremation sites<\/a>, broad\u00a0anger flares<\/a>\u00a0against the government due to a\u00a0shortage of oxygen<\/a>, and calls are increasing to\u00a0lock down<\/a>\u00a0a nation of 1.4 billion people.<\/p>\n One hint that we may be encountering\u00a0a dose of media sensationalism<\/a>\u00a0occurred when a\u00a0New York Post<\/em>\u00a0article stating in the title, \u201cfootage shows people dead in the streets\u201d featured a\u00a0picture<\/a>\u00a0of a suffering woman lying at a curbside from an incident later identified to be a May 2020 gas leak in Andhra Pradesh.<\/p>\n Much of this dynamic is\u00a0reminiscent<\/a>\u00a0of many headlines that encouraged the same alarm early last year,\u00a0such as<\/a>\u00a0\u201cA man lies dead in the street: the image that captures the Wuhan coronavirus crisis,\u201d\u00a0or<\/a>\u00a0\u201cDISASTER ZONE Coronavirus leaves Wuhan a \u2018zombieland\u2019 with people collapsing in streets and medics patrolling in hazmat suits.\u201d<\/p>\n As observed in the\u00a0Daily Expose<\/em><\/a>, after a year of observation such \u201cscenes have not been replicated anywhere else, confirming that it was all a lie and propaganda.\u201d Now, however, \u201cthey are playing the same game, but this time with India.\u201d<\/p>\n While there is certainly some level of tragedy happening in India, distinctions have to be drawn between the actual effects of COVID-19, and other contributing factors, many of which will be familiar to those in the west who have been close observers over the last year or so.<\/p>\n According to Yohan Tengra, \u201ca political analyst and healthcare specialist based in Mumbai,\u201d and a\u00a0co-author<\/a>\u00a0of a report titled \u201cHow the Unscientific Interpretation of RT-PCR & Rapid Antigen Test Results is Causing Misleading Spikes in Cases & Deaths,\u201d the statistical foundation of media reports touting\u00a0record cases<\/a>\u00a0of COVID-19 in India is fundamentally flawed.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will never know statistically if the infections have really increased. To be certain, we would need data of symptomatic people who have tested positive with either a virus culture test or PCR that uses 24 cycles or less, ideally under 20,\u201d he stated in the Bangladesh publication\u00a0NewAge<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n As has been\u00a0documented<\/a>\u00a0elsewhere, many scientists have criticized the way PCR tests have been used for the purpose of identifying COVID-19 cases calling their administration \u201cuseless\u201d and \u201cflawed science.\u201d<\/p>\n Tengra agrees and illustrates in his\u00a0research<\/a>\u00a0how using these tests at 35 cycles or above, which he\u00a0reports<\/a>\u00a0is the setting in India, will produce a false positive rate of 97% to 99.9%. Therefore, the more testing is done, the more false positives are produced.<\/p>\n In another\u00a0interview<\/a>, he reported how the government has been aggressively increasing testing, including even forcing healthy people on the street to submit to tests. Tengra said this is happening in Mumbai where the local government is required to meet a daily target of 45,000 tests each day and individuals must accept the test or be charged under the Epidemic Diseases Act.<\/p>\n As a result, the vast majority of identified \u201ccases\u201d from positive PCR tests are\u00a0asymptomatic<\/a>. \u201cFor example, in Mumbai, they declared two days back that of total cases in the city, 85 per cent were asymptomatic. In Bangalore, over 95 per cent of cases were asymptomatic!\u201d Tengra exclaimed.<\/p>\n Even the World Health Organization (WHO) in January\u00a0warned<\/a>\u00a0against diagnosing an individual as having COVID-19 merely because of a positive PCR test when they lacked any symptoms of the virus. The WHO also raised concerns about the \u201crisk of false positive\u201d tests, which happen as a percentage. Thus, the more tests are administered, the more\u00a0false positives<\/a>\u00a0will naturally result, raising legitimate questions about the efficacy and purpose of testing asymptomatic individuals.<\/p>\n Many western consumers of alternative media will also be familiar with the important fact that there is\u00a0very<\/a>\u00a0little<\/a>,\u00a0if any<\/a>,\u00a0evidence<\/a>\u00a0for asymptomatic transmission of viruses, including COVID-19. Having emphasized this reality as well in his report, Tengra believes the data presenting high numbers of \u201ccases\u201d which are dominated by asymptomatic individuals can be reasonably doubted given the\u00a0malleability<\/a>\u00a0of how the PCR tests are administered and interpreted.<\/p>\n As was the case in the United States, at least last year, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)\u00a0provided<\/a>\u00a0what some called \u201cperverse incentives<\/a>\u201d establishing government COVID-19 \u201crelief funding,\u201d which awarded significantly more compensation to hospitals if patients were\u00a0classified<\/a>\u00a0as COVID-19 positive ($13,000) or put on a ventilator ($39,000).<\/p>\n Somewhat of a similar dynamic is present in India, as well.<\/p>\n As Tengra explained, like in other countries, people in India have been subjected to significant media propaganda causing them to greatly fear the virus. They are thus highly motivated to get early treatment in order navigate the infection successfully.<\/p>\n Tengra further explained, \u201cThe medical system itself works to boost the number of positive cases. Even with a negative PCR test, they are using CAT scans and diagnosing people with Covid. These scans are not specific to SARS-CoV-2 at all. I personally know of people who have been asked to be hospitalised by their doctors just based on a positive test (doctors can get a cut of the total bill made when they refer a patient to a hospital). This also happened to a Bollywood celebrity, who was asked to be admitted by his doctors with no symptoms and just a positive PCR.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Tengra, the combination of faulty PCR tests, financially incentivized misdiagnoses, and frightened patients with the mildest of symptoms being admitted to the hospital, quickly brings to capacity a health care system where beds are often, even in the best of times, on the brink of scarcity.<\/p>\n In addition to general\u00a0dietary challenges<\/a>\u00a0with a prevalence of\u00a0vitamin D<\/a>\u00a0deficiency<\/a>\u00a0in India, also contributing to the numbers of hospital admissions and reported deaths, along with many of the media\u2019s alarming images of suffering, is the fact that Delhi \u201chas the most toxic air in the world which often leads to the city having to close down due to the widespread effects on respiratory health,\u201d\u00a0writes<\/a>\u00a0Jo Nash, a long-term resident of India (see\u00a0here<\/a>,\u00a0here<\/a>, and\u00a0here<\/a>). In fact, the air quality is so noxious that for a nice indulgent break one may wish to patronize a local \u201coxygen bar<\/a>\u201d in Delhi and enjoy some deep breaths of healthy air for a modest fee.<\/p>\n And in a nation where \u201crespiratory diseases including COPD, TB, and respiratory tract infections like bronchitis leading to pneumonia are always among the\u00a0top ten killers<\/a>,\u201d these conditions are severely aggravated by the air pollution especially on a seasonal basis when the weather is changing as it does this time of the year (\u201cApril\/May\u201d).<\/p>\n During these seasonal peaks, oxygen supplies can run low, and with this year\u2019s addition of a \u201cpandemic of panic<\/a>\u201d instigated by alarmist media coverage, some patients may be reluctant to go to government hospitals out of fear of catching COVID-19, while doctors themselves may not fulfill their normal duties for the same reason, resulting in an increase of life-threatening complications.<\/p>\n Combine these factors with\u00a0policies<\/a>\u00a0that have been common in many other countries,\u00a0including<\/a>\u00a0the U.S.<\/a>, where according to Tengra, India\u2019s death certificate guidelines are structured to easily facilitate the labeling of individuals as having died from COVID-19 merely due to a positive PCR test, or general symptoms, and it becomes somewhat\u00a0difficult<\/a>\u00a0to determine who actually died from the virus, and who was altogether misdiagnosed and misreported as a COVID death.<\/p>\n In summary, former Pfizer vice president and chief science officer\u00a0Dr. Michael Yeadon<\/a>\u00a0told LifeSiteNews via email, \u201cThey\u2019re misusing mass testing such that a positive result isn\u2019t meaningful. This \u2018over-reading\u2019, coupled with the way \u2018Covid19 death\u2019 is defined now (places way too much emphasis on PCR & not enough on symptoms) means that Covid19 deaths are greatly exaggerated. Worse, people are encouraged to get treatment even if they\u2019re well & have no symptoms. This crowds the hospitals and makes treatment for other than Covid19 problematic.\u201d<\/p>\n However, even if taking the high reported COVID-19 numbers at face value, when compared to the overall population of India they remain underwhelming.<\/p>\n Jo Nash\u00a0observes<\/a>\u00a0that the media presents case and death counts in whole numbers without placing them in context of India\u2019s enormous population of 1.4 billion people. Thus, by way of comparison, he shows how India\u2019s current daily death rate reports of 2,600, would be equivalent to 126 reported deaths per day in the U.K., which is far below any peak they experienced and approximately what is reported recently. To demonstrate this point, he offers the following graph from Johns Hopkins University Resource Center showing the relatively small impact of reported COVID-19 deaths as compared to other nations.<\/p>\n As is the case\u00a0elsewhere<\/a>, politics plays a significant role in these reports. According to Nash, government negligence in addressing \u201curgent public health issues including access to clean water, sanitation, clean air, and treatments for other communicable diseases\u201d is an ongoing problem avoided by both major political parties.<\/p>\n In fact, for perspective on the problem, Nash reports how even with a reported \u201cpeak\u201d of alleged COVID deaths, \u201cmore people die<\/a>\u00a0of diarrhoea every day in India and have done for years, mostly due to a lack of clean water and sanitation creating a terrain ripe for the flourishing of communicable disease.\u201d<\/p>\n And with the noxious air quality in Delhi remaining \u201ca political football,\u201d Nash asserts that both major political parties are happy to blame \u201cthe soaring respiratory problems that require oxygen on a COVID surge\u201d as this diverts attention from their ongoing neglect of this important issue during this time of \u201chigh stake assembly elections.\u201d<\/p>\n One place Nash reports the government has problematically diverted significant resources leaving important priorities neglected, is with massive experimental COVID-19 vaccine procurement for the purpose of facilitating the \u201cworld\u2019s biggest\u201d injection drive.<\/p>\n This appears to be a curious initiative given how serological studies earlier this year\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0that 55% of the country\u2019s large population may have already been infected with the virus, including 56% of the capital, New Delhi, which\u00a0indicated<\/a>\u00a0three-and-a-half months ago that they would soon be approaching herd immunity through natural infection.<\/p>\n And as\u00a0affirmed<\/a>\u00a0by Dr. Peter McCullough, there is \u201cno scientific, clinical or safety rationale for ever vaccinating a COVID-recovered patient.\u201d<\/p>\n Yet given the\u00a0high prevalence<\/a>\u00a0of the virus in the population, India has also experienced a low mortality rate, which according to current reported numbers remains at only around\u00a011% per capita<\/a>\u00a0of fatalities in the United States. Further, despite the media hysteria, recent national level serosurvey testing has\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0an infection fatality rate of approximately 0.05%.<\/p>\n As is the\u00a0judgment of many<\/a>, such success in dealing with the virus is attributed to India\u2019s early embrace of effective treatments. While debates raged in the United States early last year over the merits of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) following President Donald Trump\u2019s endorsement of the drug, India had already\u00a0recommended<\/a>\u00a0it in its national guidelines affirming it \u201cshould be used as early in the disease course as possible \u2026 and should be avoided in patients with severe disease.\u201d<\/p>\n Following the June 2020 discovery of ivermectin\u2019s efficacy in treating the virus, along with significant subsequent testing, the largest state in their nation, Uttar Pradesh (UP) (pop. 230 million),\u00a0announced<\/a>\u00a0in August that it was replacing their HCQ protocol with ivermectin for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.<\/p>\n According to\u00a0TrialSiteNews<\/a>, \u201cBy the end of 2020, Uttar Pradesh \u2014 which distributed free ivermectin for home care \u2014 had the second-lowest fatality rate in India at 0.26 per 100,000 residents in December. Only the state of Bihar, with 128 million residents, was lower, and it, too,\u00a0recommends ivermectin<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n However, this general tranquility was oddly disrupted in correlation with experimental COVID-19 vaccine uptake. Though the massive injection campaign was scheduled to launch on\u00a0January 16<\/a>, it didn\u2019t hit its stride\u00a0until<\/a>\u00a0late February.<\/p>\n When the goal of vaccinating 300 million people by August 2021 neared its midpoint, however, the reported number of COVID-19 cases unexpectedly surged, as broadly reported. The graph below displays this anomaly.<\/p>\n As\u00a0observed<\/a>\u00a0by Dr. Mathew Maavak, \u201cNot only had India\u2019s COVID-19 cases surged in tandem with increased vaccination, the trajectory of infections and inoculations can be neatly superimposed as the following graph suggests.\u201d<\/p>\n While correlation does not necessarily demonstrate causation, evidence for this same effect would include the World Health Organization\u2019s (WHO) recent acknowledgement that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-backed polio vaccine was actually\u00a0the cause of a polio outbreak<\/a>\u00a0in Africa.<\/p>\n And currently we find that the\u00a0island of Seychelles<\/a>, which is the \u201cmost vaccinated\u201d country in the world, re-imposed lockdown measures similar to those implemented in 2020 after reporting a surge of infections.<\/p>\n Though at least 62.2% of the population has received two doses of an experimental COVID-19 vaccine (Sinopharm<\/a>\u00a0or AstraZeneca\u2019s Covishield),\u00a0almost one third<\/a>\u00a0of new cases on the island come from this \u201cfully vaccinated\u201d demographic.<\/p>\n The Covishield AstraZeneca and the Covaxin (Bharat Biotech) experimental vaccines, which are used in India, may have caused a similar effect.<\/p>\n In addition, Dr. Harvey Risch, a professor of epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health, recently\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0how clinicians have \u201cestimated that more than 60% of the new cases that they are treating \u2014 COVID cases \u2014 have been people who have been vaccinated.\u201d<\/p>\n The Daily Expose<\/em><\/a>\u00a0offers a visual to summarize the correlations between the use of ivermectin, the experimental vaccines, and the death toll in India.<\/p>\n They also offer a similar dramatic example of how the correlation between experimental vaccine reception and the COVID-19 death toll was reflected in Mongolia.\u00a0Indeed, such results of a \u201cfully vaccinated<\/a><\/u>\u201d COVID-19 pandemic appears to be an\u00a0international trend<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n Regardless of how the new surge of reported COVID-19 deaths in India came about, the mainstream media\u2019s reporting \u201chas clearly been governed by a global approach to messaging that appears to aim at ramping up fear of \u2018new variants\u2019 and coerce compliance to vaccination during a period of increasing resistance, both in India and abroad,\u201d\u00a0according<\/a>\u00a0to Nash.<\/p>\n The WHO recently\u00a0classified<\/a>\u00a0an apparently\u00a0more contagious<\/a>\u00a0\u201ctriple mutant Covid variant<\/a>\u201d in India as a \u201cvariant of concern\u201d at the global level.<\/p>\n In early April, Dr. Yeadon\u00a0explained<\/a>\u00a0in detail that none of the variants identified in the world are anywhere near being able to escape the immunity enjoyed by those who have already, for example, passed through natural infection. Therefore, there is no need for a greater level of fear or \u201cconcern\u201d in their regard.<\/p>\n In response to the WHO\u2019s recent classification, Dr. Yeadon told LifeSiteNews, \u201cThe triple mutant stuff is pure theatre. You\u2019ll notice they\u2019ve presented no data whatsoever on its properties or ability of our immune systems to recognize it.<\/p>\n \u201cI have no doubt that the \u2018global health risk\u2019 claim \u2014 it\u2019s frankly a lie. No doubt such a variant exists, but the difference from the original virus will be far too little to matter.\u201d<\/p>\n Rosemary Frei<\/a>, a Canadian medical writer and journalist with a master\u2019s degree in molecular biology, analyzed the only two studies which have been produced to propose the so-called \u201chigher transmissibility\u201d of the \u201cIndia variant.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe\u00a0first<\/a>\u00a0was published May 3, and it was just a purely theoretical paper just sort of using experimental equipment to look at binding between the virus (the variant) and cells, or between the variant and antibodies to the virus. So, it is completely theoretical [and] \u2026 very far removed from real life, particularly in humans, and from showing whether it affects morbidity or mortality in humans,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd neither does the\u00a0second study<\/a>\u00a0which is on 18 hamsters (!) (reflect real life).\u201d<\/p>\n In response to the sharp discontent in the nation over the rise of infections, the national government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a move to regain control of the virus by\u00a0quietly changing<\/a>\u00a0its treatment guidelines in late April to include ivermectin and HCQ.<\/p>\n While Uttar Pradesh and other states used ivermectin with\u00a0astounding success<\/a>, the Indian Council of Medical Research\u00a0declined<\/a>\u00a0a national recommendation last October citing \u2014 as has been\u00a0typical<\/a>\u00a0in the U.S., as well \u2014\u00a0the<\/a>\u00a0need<\/a>\u00a0for<\/a>\u00a0\u201cmore<\/a>\u00a0data<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n But that policy has now changed, and India has become the largest country in the world which has officially recommended ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19.<\/p>\n As reported by\u00a0TrialSiteNews<\/a>, with the issuing of this authorization the stock prices of ivermectin producer Bajaj Healthcare rose 6.32% as they began to initiate massive production and distribution efforts. While these events were \u201creported around India,\u201d few mentions could be found elsewhere \u201cas Western press are under order to blackout ivermectin news unless it\u2019s neutral to negative,\u201d the news outlet asserts.<\/p>\n Soon after this change went into effect,\u00a0daily new cases<\/a>,\u00a0active cases<\/a>, and some\u00a0regional<\/a>\u00a0mortality rates<\/a>\u00a0began to plunge in the nation.<\/p>\n Though establishment media\u00a0mock<\/a>\u00a0HCQ and ivermectin as \u201ctwo drugs that conspiracy theorists say cure COVID-19 and that scientists say are useless at treating the disease,\u201d there are 219 peer-reviewed studies demonstrating the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment and prophylaxis against COVID-19. And 54 peer-reviewed studies show the effectiveness of ivermectin as treatment and prophylaxis against COVID-19,\u00a0according<\/a>\u00a0to the COVID blog.<\/p>\n In\u00a0describing<\/a>\u00a0such studies at a Senate hearing last December, Dr. Pierre Kory, a founding member of\u00a0Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance<\/a>\u00a0(FLCCC), mentioned the \u201cmountains<\/a>\u201d of\u00a0evidence<\/a>\u00a0that demonstrate the miraculous\u00a0effectiveness<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0ivermectin<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I say \u2018miracle\u2019 I do not use that term lightly,\u201d he stated. \u201c[T]hat is a scientific recommendation based on mountains of data that has emerged in the last three months.\u201d<\/p>\n In a\u00a0recent study<\/a>, the authors found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality and recovery time in addition to \u201csignificantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of ivermectin.\u201d<\/p>\n The study also cites many examples of \u201civermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality,\u201d prompting them to conclude that as an oral agent, ivermectin is \u201ceffective in all phases of COVID-19,\u201d and thus it should be \u201cglobally & systematically deployed\u201d as a treatment for the novel virus.<\/p>\n Many find the suppression of these treatments in the U.S. and many other countries by establishment media and governmental agencies to be equivalent to \u201cmurder with malice<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n![\"Image\"](\"https:\/\/assets.lifesitenews.com\/images\/remote\/https_www.lifesitenews.com\/images\/local\/delaneyindia1.png\")
