Antibodies bind to specific antigens, for instance viral proteins, marking them for destruction by other immune cells, such as the macrophage white blood cell behind the virus.<\/p><\/div>\n
A professor with the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine has said that there is a general dismissal of the fact that more than half of all Americans have developed natural immunity to the coronavirus and that it constitutes \u201cone of the biggest failures of our current medical leadership.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Dr. Marty Makary made the comments during a recent interview, noting that \u201cnatural immunity works\u201d and it is wrong to vilify those who don\u2019t want the vaccine because they have already recovered from the virus.<\/p>\n Makary criticised \u201cthe most slow, reactionary, political CDC in American history\u201d for not clearly communicating the scientific facts about natural immunity compared to the kind of immunity developed through vaccines.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is more data on natural immunity than there is on vaccinated immunity, because natural immunity has been around longer,\u201d Makary emphasised.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are not seeing reinfections, and when they do happen, they\u2019re rare. Their symptoms are mild or are asymptomatic,\u201d the professor added.<\/p>\n \u201cPlease, ignore the CDC guidance,\u201d he urged, adding \u201cLive a normal life, unless you are unvaccinated and did not have the infection, in which case you need to be careful.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got to start respecting people who choose not to get the vaccine instead of demonizing them,\u201d Makary further asserted.<\/p>\n The professor\u2019s comments come amid a plethora of\u00a0media generated propaganda<\/a>\u00a0suggesting that natural immunity isn\u2019t enough, and that those who do not choose to take the vaccine\u00a0should be socially ostracised<\/a>.<\/p>\n The likes of the World Health Organisation have even\u00a0shifted the definition of \u2018herd immunity\u2019<\/a>, eliminating the pre-COVID scientific consensus that it could be achieved by allowing a virus to spread through a population, and insisting that herd immunity comes solely from vaccines.<\/p>\n
