Indiana University Holds Three-Day \u2018Sex Fest\u2019 featuring BDSM Demos, Sex Toys, \u2018Kink\u2019 Workshop<\/h1>\n

Indiana University is holding a three day long \u201cSex Fest\u201d that featured a workshop on \u201ckink,\u201d sex toy tables and a woman being publicly whipped as part of a BDSM demonstration.<\/h3>\n

Students who attend the school\u2019s festival are given t-shirts that say \u201cI love sex.\u201d<\/p>\n

Campus Reform<\/a>\u00a0has obtained shocking photos and videos from the events that have taken place so far, including the \u201ckink workshop.\u201d The photos they published show tables at the event full of whips, paddles dildos, and other sexual objects. \u201cOne table contained a flyer that listed different types of \u2018nipple toys\u2019 which included a \u2018clothespin,\u2019 \u2018nipple pump,\u2019 \u2018nipple lasso,\u2019 \u2018magnetic clamp,\u2019 \u2018adjustable clamp,\u2019 \u2018clover clamp,\u2019 \u2018nipple tweezer,\u2019 and \u2018hand.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother flyer asked attendees to \u2018circle things you know you want\u2019 and to \u2018cross out things you know you don\u2019t want,’\u201d Campus Reform reported. \u201cAmong the options to either circle or cross out in the \u2018bondage\u2019 category were \u2018rope,\u2019 \u2018leather\/cuffs,\u2019 \u2018cages,\u2019 \u2018collar\/lead.\u2019 In the \u2018sensation play\u2019 category, \u2018electricity,\u2019 \u2018hair pulling,\u2019 \u2018scratching,\u2019 \u2018mind fucks,\u2019 and \u2018exhibitionism\u2019 were among the options.\u201d<\/p>\n

A video posted to Twitter by an upset student also shows a woman in her underwear being whipped while tied up in a dorm hall.<\/p>\n

The university has defended the event, saying that learning about BDSM safety has been requested by students.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the topics most requested by students was how to practice BDSM safety,\u201d Indiana University spokesperson Chuck Carney told Campus Reform. \u201cOur public health researchers have found some evidence to suggest that people are engaging in a broader range of sexual activities and as a result, it is the IU Health Center\u2019s mission to make sure they practice it safely, following the BDSM community\u2019s principal tenets of \u2018safe, sane, and consensual.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Carney also confirmed that the event is being paid for by the university, saying \u201c\u2026the money comes largely from grants and research funding, but also two student organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n
