A popular children\u2019s television show, Blue\u2019s Clues, has been accused of indoctrinating its young viewers after releasing a LGBTQ singalong with lyrics many adults don\u2019t even understand, in celebration of \u2018Pride Month\u2019.<\/p>\n

Published on the show\u2019s YouTube channel, the video, titled\u00a0\u201cThe Blue\u2019s Clues Pride Parade Sing-Along,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0features a cartoon version of Nina West, an American drag queen, who leads the children in a song set to the tune of \u2018The Ants Go Marching\u2019. Floats with animals waving rainbow and transgender flags pass by on the screen as West sings.<\/p>\n

The song features words such as\u00a0\u201cqueer,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u201ctrans,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u201cbi,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0as well as\u00a0\u201cpan\u201d<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cnon-binary,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0with the lyrics displayed at the bottom of the screen so that children can sing along.<\/p>\n

For example, as a group of beavers decked out in LGBTQ and trans regalia ride by, the drag queen sings:<\/p>\n

\u201cFamilies marching four by four hurrah! Hurrah! Families marching four by four hurrah! Hurrah! \/ Trans members of this family \/ they love each other so proudly \/ and they all go marching in the big parade.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

One of the cartoon beavers is shown with visible \u201ctop scars\u201d \u2013 scars from surgery that transgender men undergo to remove breast tissue. The detail was\u00a0confirmed<\/a>\u00a0by Snopes, which \u201cfact-checked\u201d whether Nickelodeon intended for the pixelated lines on the beaver\u2019s chest to represent such scars.<\/p>\n
