Millions of illegal aliens swarm across our borders, yet little is done to stop them.<\/span><\/p>\n As big cities\u2019 homicides soar, their police departments are being defunded.<\/span><\/p>\n Such destructive domestic policies remind us of this destructive <\/span>foreign<\/span><\/i> policy: Successive administrations and the State Department have often shut their eyes to international terrorism and even covered it up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As the 20<\/span>th<\/span> anniversary of 9\/11 and America\u2019s Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) looms, this shocks the conscience.\u00a0 It also endangers the homeland and our military men and women overseas.<\/span><\/p>\n We\u2019ll prove that Turkey and Azerbaijan remain among the most egregious sponsors of international terrorist organizations and that the U.S. covers for those countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Among these organizations: ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra, Ansar Al-Din, Hamza Division, Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham, Jaysh Al-Sunna, Sultan Murad Brigade, Sultan Suleyman Shah Brigade\/Al-Amshat, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n Terrorist Turkey\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n He also describes Turkey\u2019s sending terrorist mercenaries (some listed above) into Azerbaijan against Armenian-populated Artsakh\/Nagorno-Karabagh in 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n As with Turkey, the State Department has largely ignored <\/span>utterly<\/span><\/a> corrupt<\/span><\/a> Azerbaijan\u2019s long record of supporting terrorism.<\/span><\/p>\n Terrorist Azerbaijan\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n These included war criminal and former ISIS commander <\/span>Sayf Balud<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n As a result, <\/span>one hundred bipartisan members of Congress<\/span><\/a> (2021) and the\u00a0<\/span>European Union Parliament<\/span><\/a> (2020) have condemned Azerbaijan and Turkey.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Azerbaijan is also violating the UN Convention against the Use of Mercenaries which it <\/span>signed<\/span><\/a> in 1997.\u00a0 In November, the UN\u2019s\u00a0Working Group on Mercenaries<\/span> excoriated<\/span><\/a> Turkey and Azerbaijan.\u00a0 However, the UN\u2019s leading member has refused to raise this issue.<\/span><\/p>\n Candidate Joe Biden <\/span>pledged<\/span><\/a> to \u201crally the world\u201d against \u201ctransnational terrorism.\u201d\u00a0 Yet the White House has done <\/span>nothing<\/span><\/i> about Azeri terrorism.\u00a0 Armenia, incidentally, is the <\/span>only<\/span><\/i> country in that region with no ties to international terrorism.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We\u2019ve let our government make a <\/span>farce<\/span><\/a> of the GWOT.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n More Cover-ups<\/b><\/p>\n On July 21, Senate Foreign Relations Chair Bob Menendez (D-NJ) asked Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland about \u201cTurkey facilitating the transfer of fighters from Syria to Azerbaijan\u201d last year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Her \u201canswer\u201d?\u00a0 She\u2019d discuss it only \u201cin another setting,\u201d as if Menendez\u2019s assertion wasn\u2019t already public knowledge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Thus, Nuland <\/span>covered<\/span><\/i> for Azerbaijan and Turkey.<\/span><\/p>\n At a 2016 public forum in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I quizzed then-U.S Ambassador to Armenia Richard M. Mills about Turkey\u2019s support for ISIS.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I also mentioned that I\u2019d be distributing Dr. David L. Phillips\u2019 <\/span>ISIS-Turkey Links<\/span><\/i><\/a> study to the audience.<\/span><\/p>\n Mills angrily denied any and all ties between Turkey and ISIS or similar groups.\u00a0 Like Nuland, he <\/span>covered<\/span><\/i> for Turkey.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We know Mills lied because in 2014 Vice President Biden <\/span>told<\/span><\/a> his Harvard audience that Turkey and others had been giving \u201chundreds of millions of dollars [and] tons of weapons\u201d to Al-Nusra, Al-Qaeda, and ISIS.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n President Obama immediately <\/span>covered<\/span><\/i> for Turkey by ordering Biden to apologize to President Erdogan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n
