(Natural News<\/a>) Listings of\u00a0Dr. Anthony Fauci\u2019s upcoming book\u00a0were\u00a0removed<\/a>\u00a0from leading online marketplaces and bookstores amid criticism that he profits from the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n Titled \u201cExpect the Unexpected: Ten Lessons on Truth, Service and the Way Forward,\u201d the book was advertised on Amazon but the listing had apparently been\u00a0deleted. A link to the listing redirected to a webpage that displayed, \u201cSorry! We couldn\u2019t find that page.\u201d\u00a0The book was also\u00a0advertised\u00a0on Barnes & Noble\u2019s website but\u00a0was no longer available on Wednesday, June 2.<\/p>\n It is still available for pre-order on some lesser-known vendors, such as Booktopia. The listing showed that it is scheduled for release this November.<\/p>\n The scrubbing of\u00a0Fauci\u2019s book came after critics\u00a0slammed\u00a0him for profiting from the pandemic. Fauci, director of the\u00a0National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases<\/em>\u00a0(NIAID), has been\u00a0a coronavirus advisor to the White House since the pandemic started.<\/p>\n Fox News<\/em>\u00a0contributor Joe Concha compared him to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who signed a seven-figure book deal about his efforts during the pandemic.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you look at the numbers again, you had Cuomo profiting off a pandemic, a government official,\u201d said Concha, who is also a media reporter for\u00a0The Hill<\/em>.\u00a0\u201cNow we have Fauci doing it as well. I think this is appalling.\u201d<\/p>\n The Daily Caller<\/em>\u00a0writer Greg Price criticized Fauci for publishing a book and being the highest-paid federal employee. At the same time, ordinary Americans lost their businesses and had\u00a0their kids out of school for a year. Multiple media reports\u00a0showed that\u00a0Fauci\u00a0earns $434,312<\/a>\u00a0for his government post alone, higher than the\u00a0president\u2019s annual salary of\u00a0$400,000.<\/p>\n Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows opined that Fauci likely got paid for his book more than Cuomo. \u201cHe\u2019ll get paid unbelievable amounts of money to tell all from his perspective,\u201d Meadows told\u00a0Just the News AM<\/em>.<\/p>\n Cached versions of the\u00a0deleted\u00a0listings described\u00a0the book as offering \u201cinspiration in [Fauci\u2019s] unique perspective on leadership, expecting the unexpected and finding joy in difficult times.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWith more than three decades spent combating some of the most dangerous diseases to strike humankind \u2013\u00a0AIDS, Ebola, COVID-19 \u2013 Dr. Fauci has worked in daunting professional conditions and shouldered great responsibility,\u201d\u00a0the listing\u00a0went on. \u201cThe earnest reflections in these pages offer a universal message on how to lead in times of crisis and find resilience in the face of disappointments and obstacles.\u201d<\/p>\n It also said that the book will offer readers \u201cinspiring words of wisdom \u2026 centered around life lessons compiled from hours of interviews, offering a concrete path to a bright and hopeful future.\u201d<\/p>\n In April last year, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.\u00a0alleged\u00a0that Fauci stood to make a hefty profit from one of the COVID-19 vaccines being developed in the U.S. at the time.<\/p>\n He told\u00a0The Gateway Pundit<\/em>\u00a0that\u00a0Fauci owned a number of vaccine patents<\/a>, including one that was being trialed to combat the Wuhan coronavirus.
