All 3 Major Vaccine Companies Suddenly Have Name Changes for Their Covid Shots \u2014 And People are Already Confused<\/strong><\/h1>\n

All three major Covid-19 \u2018vaccine\u2019 manufacturers have unveiled new names for their \u2018fully authorized\u2019 jabs, even as two pharmaceutical companies await FDA approval for their products. Following the lead of Pfizer\/BioNTech, which branded its \u2018fully authorized\u2019 (and oddly, unavailable) vaccine \u201cComirnaty,\u201d the second and third largest\u00a0manufacturers<\/a>\u00a0for Europe and Canada, Moderna and AstraZeneca, are also relabeling their Covid shots.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is Comirnaty, the Moderna vaccine will be named SpikeVax, and the AstraZeneca vaccine will be named Vaxzevria,\u201d Health Canada said in\u00a0a tweet Thursday<\/a>. \u201cThese are only name changes. There are no changes to the vaccines themselves,\u201d Health Canada added in an attempt to quell confusion. But even vaccine supporters were confused by the name changes.<\/p>\n
