{"id":8763,"date":"2020-03-09T15:12:01","date_gmt":"2020-03-09T19:12:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=8763"},"modified":"2020-03-09T15:18:40","modified_gmt":"2020-03-09T19:18:40","slug":"corona-cruise-ship-people-fighting-over-rotten-food","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=8763","title":{"rendered":"CORONA CRUISE SHIP CRAZYMAKERS: &#8216;People fighting over rotten food&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>People fighting over \u2018rotten\u2019 food on coronavirus-stricken Grand Princess cruise: passenger<\/h1>\n<p><!--more-->By Amanda Woods<br \/>\nNew York Post<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/players.brightcove.net\/4137224153001\/ed38fae1-4db1-4308-8095-399a04010bc1_default\/index.html?videoId=6138980257001\" width=\"618\" height=\"348\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>An elderly British woman on board the coronavirus-stricken cruise ship off the California coast groused over the conditions on board, where \u201cstir-crazy\u201d passengers fight over \u201crotten\u201d food, according to a new report.<\/p>\n<p>Margaret Bartlett, 77 \u2014 one of 140 Brits aboard the vessel where 21 people have tested positive for the infection \u2014\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-england-lancashire-51798946\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">told the BBC<\/a>\u00a0that she\u2019s been confined to her cabin, which has no balcony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe food is rotten and terrible and we have to fight for it,\u201d Bartlett told the network. \u201cIt is not good enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are going stir crazy stuck in the cabin,\u201d she added. \u201cIt is a bit depressing when we saw land and it was sunny and we couldn\u2019t get out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barlett told the outlet that a passenger who was staying 10 cabins away from her on board the ship has died. Gavin Newsom is finally allowing the stranded passengers into the state, calling it a \u201cchange in attitude.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is nice that he is now welcoming us into California,\u201d she said. \u201cA few days ago, he did not want us anywhere near his state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is all going to be a very new experience, going to a military base in Oakland, getting on what I assume is not going to be a commercial airline or \u2026 going someplace I\u2019ve never been,\u201d Loftus added. \u201cNot sure what the accommodations are going to be like and how long we\u2019re going to be held there.
