Russia\u2019s long-predicted invasion of Ukraine finally happened, but the reasons for it are widely misrepresented. Basic history is necessary in order to understand it.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline, from Russia, under the Baltic Sea, to Germany, was\u00a0planned in order to enable greatly increased sales-volume of the lowest-cost natural gas, which came from Russia, into the EU<\/a>, without having to rely upon the irregular pipelined supplies through the unstable and unpredictable nation of Ukraine. In fact,\u00a0the planning-document noted on its page 12<\/a>\u00a0that \u201cImport of Russian natural gas to Europe takes place through three main routes, whereof 80% of\u00a0the gas is in transit through the Ukraine.\u201d They didn\u2019t need to\u00a0say<\/em>\u00a0that that was unstable; everyone knew it was; so, diplomatically speaking, this unfortunate fact about Ukraine wasn\u2019t mentioned by them in the document, though the fact was a crucial\u00a0reason<\/em>\u00a0for the Nord Stream project, which would transmit gas\u00a0directly<\/em>\u00a0from Russia to Germany, no longer\u00a0through<\/em>\u00a0unstable Ukraine.<\/p>\n On 8 November 2011, the BBC headlined\u00a0\u201cNord Stream gas pipeline opened by Merkel and Medvedev\u201d<\/a>, and Russia\u2019s RIA Novosty\u00a0presented this happy photo<\/a>\u00a0of the signing-ceremony:<\/p>\n Click to see full-size image<\/p>\n<\/div>\n From left to right,\u00a0Gerhard Schroder<\/strong>\u00a0had been Germany\u2019s Chancellor;\u00a0Francois Fillon<\/strong>\u00a0had been France\u2019s Prime Minister;\u00a0Johannes Teyssen<\/strong>\u00a0was the CEO of multinational German electrical utility E.ON;\u00a0Angela Merkel<\/strong>\u00a0was Germany\u2019s Chancellor;\u00a0Mark Rutte<\/strong>\u00a0was Prime Minister of Netherlands;\u00a0Dmitry Medvedev<\/strong>\u00a0was Prime Minister of Russia;\u00a0Alexey Miller<\/strong>\u00a0was Chairman of Russia\u2019s Gazprom;\u00a0Guenter Oettinger<\/strong>\u00a0was the European Commission\u2019s V.P. in charge of Energy;\u00a0Kurt Bock<\/strong>\u00a0was CEO of Germany\u2019s BASF; and\u00a0Erwin Sellering<\/strong>\u00a0was Germany\u2019s\u00a0Minister President of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.<\/p>\n None of those people are or had been pro-Nazi. However, ideological anti-Russian racist-fascists (or nazis) dominated in Ukraine\u2019s far-western provinces, near to Poland, of Lviv, Ternopil, Volyn, and Ivano-Frankivsk; and, so, there was, in Ukraine, intense nationalistic and nazi opposition to\u00a0replacing<\/em>\u00a0Ukraine as the main transit-route for the crucial commodity of natural gas, from Russia into the EU, which new pipeline into the EU would greatly reduce the gas-transit-fees that were being paid by Russia into Ukraine\u2019s Government \u2014 and reduce the geostrategic importance of their country (something that nazis tend to be very concerned with, since they\u2019re supremacist-nationalists, not\u00a0merely<\/em>\u00a0supremacist-racists). This proposed pipeline (which had been pressed upon Merkel by leaders of German industry, who needed cheaper energy) was viewed by those far-right Ukrainians as being an anti-Ukraine Russian scheme, even though Nord Stream was actually planned simply as a necessary business-deal between Germany and Russia. That\u2019s what it actually\u00a0was<\/em>. And it also enjoyed considerable support elsewhere in the EU, such as in Netherlands, and\u00a0France<\/a>.<\/p>\n U.S. President Barack Obama\u00a0intended even when he entered office in 2009, to replace Syria\u2019s Government<\/a>, but his decision to replace Ukraine\u2019s Government didn\u2019t come right away. On 12 April 2010, Ukraine\u2019s\u00a0democratically elected President, Viktor Yanukovych<\/a>\u00a0met the democratically elected U.S. President\u00a0at the White House, to which Obama had invited him<\/a>, but Yanukovych\u00a0refused<\/em>\u00a0Obama\u2019s suggestions that Ukraine join America\u2019s alliance against Ukraine\u2019s next-door neighbor Russia. (Obama wanted to take over Russia\u2019s main naval base, which since 1783 has been in Crimea, which the Soviet dictator had transferred to Ukraine in 1954, so it was then in Ukraine \u2014\u00a0Obama was planning for that Russian naval base in Ukraine to become another U.S. naval base<\/a>, and for Ukraine to be brought into NATO. But Yanukovych said no.) On 2 July 2010, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Yanukovych held a joint press conference in Kiev, where\u00a0she said<\/a>\u00a0that she had discussed with Yanukovych joint military exercises with U.S. forces against his neighbor, Russia. Yanukovych again\u00a0declined<\/em>\u00a0the demands. Obama then assigned Victoria Nuland, Hillary\u2019s friend (and the wife of the famous neoconservative \u2014 or American-imperialist \u2014 writer, Robert Kagan) to organize a coup against Ukraine, to place it under U.S. control. Planning for the coup was already under way by no later than\u00a023 June 2011<\/a>, which was even\u00a0before<\/em>\u00a0the Nord Stream project had yet become signed. But after Nord Stream became agreed later in 2011, that proposed pipeline was immediately added to the Ukrainian-takeover target, as something that needed to be\u00a0cancelled<\/em>. (Ukraine\u2019s gas-transit fees were crucial financial support to Ukraine\u2019s government, and Obama wanted those fees to be supporting a post-coup Americanized Ukraine.) As\u00a0CNBC accurately summarized on 11 July 2018<\/a>: \u201cPresident\u00a0Barack Obama\u00a0opposed Nord Stream 2 and President\u00a0George W. Bush\u00a0came out against the original Nord Stream prior to its completion in 2011. Like the central and eastern European countries, they worried it increased Russian influence over the Continent.\u201d Post-WW-II American Presidents wanted America to control Europe, as key allies to\u00a0conquer Russia<\/a>. The Nord Stream project was, to a large extent, a European bid to work cooperatively with Russia and finally free itself of U.S. domination over European countries.<\/p>\n Nuland got caught managing the coup when on 4 February 2014 a phone call from her to the U.S. Ambassador in Kiev\u00a0got posted to youtube in which she instructed him to get \u201cYats\u201d or \u201cYatsenyuk\u201d appointed to run the post-coup government<\/a>, and \u201cYats\u201d was a rabidly anti-Russian and pro-nazi politician, who, unlike some others that the U.S. regime had been\u00a0considering<\/em>\u00a0for the purpose,\u00a0didn\u2019t<\/em>\u00a0yet have any clear or blatantly expressed racist-fascist sentiments (which would have meant bad PR), but who, once he\u00a0did<\/em>\u00a0become appointed on 22 February 2014 to\u00a0run<\/em>\u00a0the government, promptly replaced the generals with ones who favored\u00a0exterminating<\/a>\u00a0enough people in the heavily pro-Yanukovych areas of Ukraine so that, in subsequent Ukrainian national elections, rabid anti-Russians like \u201cYats\u201d would be able to become \u2018democratically elected\u2019 to lead the country. The objective wasn\u2019t only to kill enough of those pro-Russian voters but even more importantly to scare enough of the residents there to escape to Russia, so that they\u2019d be gone altogether from Ukraine\u2019s voting-rolls (either by fleeing or by having been killed). Videos became posted online of some of the Obama-instigated local Ukrainian\u00a0extermination<\/a>-and\u00a0terrorism<\/a>\u00a0operations, such as in\u00a0Odessa<\/a>, and in\u00a0Donbass<\/a>, and, of course, in\u00a0Crimea<\/a>, but those were basically covered-up and\/or lied-about in the \u2019news\u2019-media of the U.S.-and-allied (which included EU) regimes, because Obama needed those allies to agree with the U.S. regime\u2019s anti-Russia sanctions, so as to block the Nord Stream 2 pipeline from being allowed to operate (which would strengthen not only Russia but Europe). This wasn\u2019t merely in order to weaken the economies in Germany and throughout the EU and make them more dependent upon the U.S.; it was\u00a0also<\/em>\u00a0in order to replace Europe\u2019s low-priced Russian pipelined natural gas with America\u2019s costly tanked-and-shipped expensive liquefied natural gas, so as to enrich America\u2019s billionaires who financed America\u2019s successful politicians. It was to force Europe to pay America\u2019s prices.<\/p>\n As a result of the success of Obama and Trump and Biden \u2014 and of Congress-members of both of America\u2019s two political Parties (this bipartisan effort) \u2014 the inexpensive Russian pipelined natural gas has, indeed, become\u00a0replaced by the incredibly expensive<\/a>\u00a0canned\u00a0American liquefied and cross-Atlantic-shipped<\/a>\u00a0natural gas, so as to weaken European industries, in the name of \u2018protecting Ukraine\u2019s democracy\u2019, and this con-game strengthens the U.S., at Europe\u2019s expense, and keeps Europe in its place as a U.S. vassal-region, which has\u00a0consistently been ever since the 1991 breakup of the Soviet Union<\/a>. U.S. gas producers are laughing\u00a0all the way to the bank<\/a>, while blaming \u2018the aggressive dictator\u201d or \u201ctyrant\u2019, Putin, who is condemned by both America\u2019s\u00a0Republicans<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Democrats<\/a>. (Both of America\u2019s Parties are nearly 100% neoconservative.)<\/p>\n On 17 February 2022, a retired head of Britain\u2019s MI6, Sir John Sawers, was\u00a0interviewed<\/a>\u00a0by NATO\u2019s PR firm the Atlantic Council, and he seconded Nuland\u2019s phone-call assertion that the U.N should\u00a0\u201cglue this thing\u201d<\/a>, when he used the phrase in a different context, saying that \u201cIf you try to install a new government which has no legitimacy, you\u2019ve got to glue it in place.\u201d She\u00a0had said<\/a>:<\/p>\n \u201cNuland: Ok. He\u2019s now gotten both Serry and Ban ki-Moon to agree that Serry could come in Monday or Tuesday. That would be great, I think, to help glue this thing, and to have the UN help glue it, and, you know, fuck the EU.\u201d<\/p>\n The last three words there,\u00a0\u201cfuck the EU,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0were the\u00a0only<\/em>\u00a0part of the entire phone call that the \u2018news\u2019-media in The West publicized; and, of course, The West\u2019s widely deceived audiences had no idea, no way of knowing, what she was actually talking about, or why. The incuriosity of the masses in The West prevented the U.S. public from demanding or requiring to have more honestly informative and authentic news-media that would make more sense than simply displaying the U.S. President\u2019s assigned diplomat for Europe privately referring so contemptuously to Europeans. And, so, under Obama\u2019s V.P., Biden, now as the U.S. President, she\u2019s assigned the #2 role at the U.S. State Department, and Americans aren\u2019t shocked and repelled at that fact. America\u2019s leaders also hold America\u2019s\u00a0own<\/em>\u00a0public in contempt. Only America\u2019s billionaires are not.
