The Department of Homeland Security has released new guidelines on \u201cextremist\u201d behavior, which include questioning the 2020 presidential election or promoting \u201cconspiracy theories\u201d about the COVID pandemic and mandates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The memo, titled\u00a0Report to the Secretary of Homeland Security Domestic Violent Extremism Internal Review: Observations, Findings, and Recommendations<\/a><\/em>\u00a0claims the \u201csociopolitical developments\u201d of the 2020 election and the COVID pandemic could \u201cspur domestic violent extremists\u201d to \u201cengage in violence.\u201d<\/p>\n

A March 2021 unclassified threat assessment prepared by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), Department of Justice, and DHS, noted that\u00a0domestic violent extremists \u201cwho are motivated by a range of ideologies and galvanized by recent political and societal events in the United States pose an elevated threat to the Homeland in 2021.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The assessment pointed to newer\u00a0\u201csociopolitical developments such as narratives of fraud in the recent general election, the emboldening impact of the violent breach of the U.S. Capitol, conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic,<\/strong>\u00a0and conspiracy theories promoting violence\u201d that \u201cwill almost certainly spur some [domestic violent extremists] [sic] to try to engage in violence this year.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notably, over\u00a0half of the U.S. population<\/a>\u00a0question or doubt the results of the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n

The guidance also calls for more funding for the DHS\u2019 \u201cInsider Threat Program\u201d to identify and purge any DHS employees who \u201cmay\u00a0be displaying early indicators of extremist behavior or may be\u00a0radicalizing to violence.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAdditional funding\u00a0is necessary\u00a0to resource these efforts, as this will greatly enhance the Department\u2019s ability to identify and address violent extremist activity and protect from insider threats,\u201d the memo states.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, the memo acknowledges the DHS struggles to define exactly what \u201cextremist behavior\u201d actually means.<\/p>\n

\u201cFurther, other gaps that limited our ability to collect\u00a0and validate data included\u2026guidance as to what constitutes violent extremist activity, or an established list of behaviors that may be indicators of violent extremism.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the DHS openly breaks the law by opening up the U.S. border and\u00a0allowing millions of unvetted illegal aliens to stream in to America<\/a>\u00a0since Joe Biden took office.<\/p>\n

Because the DHS neglects its basic duties of border security, the U.S. also made\u00a0record-low deportations<\/a>\u00a0over the last year \u2014 the lowest since 1995.<\/p>\n
