The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the powerful US pro-Israel lobbying group, published a Q&A defending Ukraine\u2019s neo-Nazi groups on the grounds that they \u201cdon\u2019t attack Jews or Jewish institutions<\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In an article titled,\u00a0\u201cWhy is Putin Calling the Ukrainian Government a Bunch of Nazis?\u201d<\/em><\/a>\u00a0the ADL interviewed David Fishman, professor of Jewish History at The Jewish Theological Seminary, to explain why Ukraine\u2019s neo-Nazis aren\u2019t so bad.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are neo-Nazis in Ukraine, just as there are in the U.S., and in Russia for that matter. But they are a very marginal group with no political influence and who don\u2019t attack Jews or Jewish institutions in Ukraine,<\/em>\u201d Fishman said.<\/p>\n
