The Vatican Bank made a payment for Russian gas in rubles,\u00a0media reported<\/a>. It is noted that the state, located in the center of Rome, bought rubles from the Central Bank of Russia in an amount equivalent to 10 million Euros.<\/p>\n

According to sources, the Vatican has taken all the necessary steps, which are included in the algorithm for buying gas in rubles.\u00a0The method of purchasing energy resources in Russian currency was previously defined by the Government of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the G7 countries did not agree with the demand made by Russia to pay for energy resources in the national currency.<\/p>\n

In response, the Kremlin said that the Russian Federation was not going to engage in \u201cpan-European charity\u201d and supply free gas to the West.<\/p>\n

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that European countries have all the market opportunities for payments in rubles, \u201cthere is no tragedy in that.\u201d\u00a0He called on foreign partners to buy wood, metals, oil and other goods sold by the Russian Federation in Russian rubles.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
