That virtually every successful [JEWISH] comedian during the last century either “got their start or regularly performed in Borscht Belt resorts”<\/em> is surely no quirk of fate or coincidence.<\/p>\n

Here’s an abridged list, and as long as it is, it’s not complete by any means since famous Jewish comedians like Jack Benny, Phil Silvers and Jerry Stiller are missing.\u00a0 So, too, are “younger generation” Jewish comedians such as Billy Crystal, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart and Gilbert Gottfried curiously absent.<\/p>\n
