The WHO \u2013 and all United Nations agencies \u2013\u00a0 are unelected and unaccountable. They have full diplomatic immunity.<\/p>\n

Which makes them untouchable.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s been that way since 1946 when the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations<\/em> was established.<\/p>\n

According to Shabnam Palesa Mohamed, a member of the steering committee of the World Council for Health, the \u2018Pandemic Treaty\u2019 gives the WHO:<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 an inordinate amount of power to make decisions in sovereign countries as to how people live and how they deal with pandemics, from lockdowns to mandates over treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n

In November 2021, health ministers from the WHO’s 194 member states met to \u2018strengthen the agency’s ability to address pandemics\u2019.<\/p>\n

According to WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Gheybreyesus, “Surely countries can agree on the need for a binding pact on the threat of pandemics. I\u2019m encouraged that there is now a broad consensus for the need for such an instrument.”<\/p>\n

They\u2019ll vote on the treaty at the World Health Assembly in 2023. If passed, all member states will be bound by it.<\/p>\n

Of course, if another pandemic mysteriously appears before then, the WHO could forcibly implement it.<\/p>\n
