By David Boyajian Welcome to <\/i>bizarro world<\/i><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n That\u2019s where Turkey, a notorious state sponsor of international terrorism<\/i>, has the sheer gall to accuse Finland and\u00a0Sweden\u00a0of supporting terrorists.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Even more bizarre: Neither Finland, Sweden, the U.S., NATO, EU, nor any country or leader has, to my knowledge, pointed out Ankara\u2019s glaring hypocrisy. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Turkey claims that Finland and Sweden host members of the PKK, the militant Kurdish organization that the U.S. and EU regard as terrorists.\u00a0 <\/span>Both Nordic nations deny the charge.<\/span><\/p>\n Like many Europeans, however, Finns and Swedes sympathize with Kurds.\u00a0 <\/span>Turkey has long repressed and ethnically cleansed the latter.<\/span><\/p>\n Regardless, Ankara is blocking uber-civilized Finland and Sweden from joining NATO.<\/span><\/p>\n Ironically, Turkey \u2014 autocratic, infamously<\/span><\/a> violative of human rights, and systemically corrupt<\/span><\/a> \u2014 would be unqualified to join NATO today were it not already a member.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The point is, who is Turkey to accuse others of terrorism?\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Mega-Terrorist Turkey<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n No objective analyst disputes Turkey\u2019s longtime sponsorship of ISIS and other terrorist groups.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n So why aren\u2019t the U.S.\/NATO\/EU exposing Turkey\u2019s terrorism hypocrisy over Finland\/Sweden?<\/span><\/p>\n Partly because America and Europe are schizophrenic about ISIS and similar groups.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n America\u2019s Phony Global War on Terrorism<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n While the West loudly condemns and occasionally battles such groups, it sometimes deems them to be militarily useful.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The State Department, for instance, quietly <\/i>wants Turkish-backed terrorists<\/span><\/a> (e.g. The Free Syrian Army (FSA)\/Syrian National Army (SNA)<\/span><\/a>) to help depose President Assad and push Russia out of Syria.\u00a0 <\/span>There\u2019s no other explanation for our nation\u2019s tolerance of Ankara\u2019s terrorist sponsorships.\u00a0 <\/span>Assad is also aligned with Shiite powers that America loathes: Iran and Hezbollah.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u2018The enemy (Turkish-backed terrorists) of our (America\u2019s) enemies (Assad\/Russia\/Iran\/Hezbollah) is our friend.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n Thus, America repeatedly<\/span><\/a> ignores<\/span><\/a> Turkey\u2019s support of terrorists and its invasions, occupation, and ethnic cleansing of northern Syria.<\/span><\/p>\n The U.S. dislikes, however, Turkey\u2019s targeting the pro-American, anti-ISIS, Kurdish YPG in Syria.\u00a0 <\/span>Turkey insists that the YPG is an arm of the PKK.\u00a0 <\/span>However, America usually lets Ankara have its way<\/span><\/a> with Kurds anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n Elsewhere, the U.S. House<\/span><\/a> and European Parliament<\/span><\/a> criticized Turkey\u2019s using terrorists against Armenians in 2020.\u00a0 <\/span>Yet the West took no action against Turkey because Armenia, a Russian ally, lost the war.\u00a0 <\/span>This advanced America\u2019s and NATO\u2019s strategy of penetrating the Caucasus.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In 2021, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee openly quizzed Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland about Turkey\u2019s deploying terrorists in Azerbaijan.\u00a0 <\/span>She refused to answer in public, again unmasking Washington\u2019s tacit support for Turkish-backed terrorists.<\/span><\/p>\n Even when America and Europe genuinely disagree with Ankara\u2019s demands\/threats, they rarely push back with their own<\/i> counter-demands\/counter-threats.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Western Submissiveness<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Turkey\u2019s nonstop, unhinged temper tantrums have always psychologically disarmed the West.\u00a0 <\/span>Turks know that and exploit it.<\/span><\/p>\n And, despite the boasts of pro-Turkish sycophants, Turkey is not<\/i> more important, and certainly not more powerful, than the U.S.\/NATO\/EU.<\/span><\/p>\n Instead of pushing back against Turkey over the Finland\/Sweden fuss, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg spinelessly implores us to empathize with Ankara\u2019s demands.\u00a0 <\/span>Meanwhile, Finnish and Swedish delegations have scampered off to Ankara to prostrate themselves before His Royal Highness, King Erdogan. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
