Democrats just got some more bad news as they head into the 2022 midterms and 2024 presidential elections.<\/span><\/p>\n The Republican Party has now taken the edge and made Florida officially a red state, which could have devastating consequences for Democrats, Tampa Bay Times reported.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThis is a milestone moment in Florida\u2019s history,\u201d said Helen Aguirre Ferr\u00e9, executive director of the Republican Party of Florida.<\/p>\n The state of Florida has long been considered to be a battleground state for elections.<\/p>\n But in recent years, the state has not only gotten more conservative, but it also appears that Republicans are growing stronger in the Sunshine State.<\/p>\n Voter registration data shows that there are 5,142,002 registered Republicans in the state of Florida in 2022.<\/p>\n By comparison, there are 5,007,590 Democrats registered in the state.<\/p>\n
