{"id":127774,"date":"2022-08-09T07:18:16","date_gmt":"2022-08-09T11:18:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=127774"},"modified":"2022-08-09T07:20:26","modified_gmt":"2022-08-09T11:20:26","slug":"corrupt-tallahassee-mayoral-candidate-kristin-dozier-in-bed-with-same-democrat-crime-ring-as-scott-maddox-paige-carter-smith-and-andrew-gillum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation.co\/?p=127774","title":{"rendered":"<h2><b>CORRUPT<\/b> Tallahassee Mayoral Candidate Kristin Dozier in bed with same Democrat Crime Ring as Scott Maddox, Paige Carter-Smith and Andrew Gillum!<\/h2>"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>Dailey files elections complaints against Dozier alleging &#8216;shady&#8217; dark money mailers<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h3>Dozier says it&#8217;s a non-issue. &#8220;This is shameful politics from a desperate politician.&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p><!--more-->Karl Etters<br \/>\nTallahassee Democrat<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\"><a class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" href=\"https:\/\/daileyformayor.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-t-l=\":b|e|inline click|${u}\">Mayor John Dailey<\/a>\u00a0has filed elections complaints\u00a0against his re-election opponent,\u00a0<a class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dozierformayor2022.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-t-l=\":b|e|inline click|${u}\">Kristin Dozier<\/a>, claiming she got help from a \u201cdark money campaign\u201d that intended to mislead voters with an attack mailer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Filed with the Florida Elections Commission Wednesday, the complaints target\u00a0alleged electioneering coordination\u00a0by Dozier\u2019s campaign and a political action committee that isn\u2019t registered with the state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The mailers were sent by a group calling itself \u201cSave Our City,\u201d which is not registered with the Florida Department of State&#8217;s Division of Elections. We are confident that the elections commission will see this as a political stunt, what it is. The two of them served together on the County Commission from 2010 until 2018, when Dailey was elected mayor.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"gnt_m gnt_x gnt_x__lbl gnt_x__al\" aria-label=\"advertisement\">\n<div id=\"ad-slot-7103-fl-tallahassee-C1558-native-article_link-news-politics-elections-3\" class=\"gnt_x_sl gnt_x_al\" data-g-r=\"lazy\" data-gl-method=\"lazyLoadX\"><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Dozier\u2019s mailers have focused on knocking off \u201ccareer politicians,\u201d focused on their own interests, \u201cinsider deals\u201d and satisfying political donors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The PAC mailer attacks Dailey for his support of a $27 million allocation by the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency to fund repairs at Florida State University\u2019s football stadium, political donations collected around the same time as the February vote and contributions from local developers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">It features photos taken at the same time, including the same people dressed in the same outfits,\u00a0as the ones that appear on Dozier\u2019s campaign mailers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Coordination between PACs and candidates is allowed, but Dailey\u2019s election attorney, Glenn Burhans, said the\u00a0mailer also violated electioneering laws. Are you trying to mislead voters or are you just not up for the job and not able to handle the details of communicating properly?\u201d he said. \u201cI mean, the law is the law, and everyone should be held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"gnt_m gnt_x gnt_x__lbl gnt_x__al\" aria-label=\"advertisement\">\n<div id=\"ad-slot-7103-fl-tallahassee-C1558-native-article_link-news-politics-elections-4\" class=\"gnt_x_sl gnt_x_al\" data-g-r=\"lazy\" data-gl-method=\"lazyLoadX\"><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Dozier said political coordination is allowed and the mailers are nothing extraordinary and her opponent knows that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cWe have seen political committees work in a lot of races in this community\u201d she said. \u201cThis is not unusual and for John Dailey to call that out as dark money is disappointing. He knows better, this is politics. Pure and simple.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"gnt_ar_b_h2\">&#8216;Ethical concerns&#8217; and &#8216;shameful behavior&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Before discussing the elections complaints, Dailey painted a picture of Dozier of holding an unethical career not worthy of the office of mayor. He said \u201cethical concerns have swirled\u201d around his opponent for years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">He specifically mentioned a house she bought from hotelier and businessman J.T.
