On that front, Ron DeSantis exposed yet another left-wing lie.<\/p>\n
And Ron DeSantis exposed a massive voter fraud scheme that will send Democrats into panic mode.<\/p>\n
Back in April, Ron DeSantis signed legislation creating the Office of Election Crimes and Security to police election fraud.<\/p>\n
The Fake News Media mocked DeSantis as creating a solution in search of a problem.<\/p>\n
Once again, DeSantis proved the media and the Democrats wrong.<\/p>\n
DeSantis announced that the Office of Election Crimes and Security arrested 20 individuals for illegal voting.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to make sure we have laws in place and we want those laws to be enforced,\u201d DeSantis explained. \u201cThe state of Florida has charged and is in the process of arresting 20 individuals across the state for voter fraud.\u201d<\/p>\n
The illegal votes were centered in the Democrat strongholds of Miami Dade County, Palm Beach County, and Broward County.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlthough there are others in other parts of the state, these folks voted illegally. In this case, and there\u2019s gonna be other grounds for other prosecutions in the future, they are disqualified from voting because they\u2019ve been convicted of either murder or sexual assault and they do not have the right to vote. They have been disenfranchised under Florida law,\u201d DeSantis said, before adding \u201cand yet they went ahead and voted anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n
DeSantis said there would be consequences for illegal voting in Florida and the 20 individuals arrested now face up to five years in prison.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow they\u2019re gonna pay the price for it. So they will be charged. They are being charged and arrested today with election fraud. This is a third degree felony in the state of Florida,\u201d DeSantis stated.<\/p>\n
DeSantis reassured voters that elections in Florida were secure and anyone committing an act of illegal voting would be caught and brought to justice.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo have somebody who is clearly an illegal felon voting and yet they did it and nothing happened until we stepped in with this new office, until we said this is something that we take seriously, now, this is only one class of voters that we know have violated the law,\u201d DeSantis said, before adding that there are ongoing investigations \u201cinto people that have voted in two different jurisdictions.\u201d<\/p>\n
